If you’re done visiting the big cool cities of Japan like Tokyo and Osaka then consider visiting Fukuoka. We explored Fukuoka in 5 days and found it to be extremely comfortable. How so? It’s safe, it’s convenient and it’s affordable. I enjoyed how less crowded it was which made it a bit easier to find our way around. There are direct flights from Manila to Fukuoka from different airlines but the cheapest year-round fares are from Cebu Pacific. We only booked it last July for ₱6,800 and we stayed in an AirBnB apartment a little outside Hakata for only ₱4,400 per night for 3 person. MY INDOCHINA ULTIMATE BIRTHDAY TRAVEL (THAILAND-CAMBODIA-VIETNAM, MAY 4-12, 2024). Spent my 40th Birthday last year wandering around Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh in Vietnam and had a wonderful time. From that moment on I made it a plan to see a new country every year. I wanted to be somewhere I’ve never been before for my birthday. I wanted to be surrounded by people I didn’t know in a different country. I wanted to spend my birthday solo traveling. This year I decided to see Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia for my 41st Birthday. But the flight to Siem Reap is expensive and no direct flights from Manila. After days of looking for cheap flights, I found an alternative. I booked a Manila-Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh-Manila flights. It is way cheaper. Got it for only ₱10,400 considering that I just booked it on April 22, 2024, two weeks before the travel dates. It’s great because I get to see again Thailand and Vietnam for the second time around. Then midnight ng sunday or madaling araw ng monday is balik ka na ng manila tapos direcho pasok na. 😬. Pero hindi cya para sa lahat. Bawal sa maarte at mabagal kumilos.. haha. Matulog ka ng matulog kapag may chance like sa airport, eroplano, bus at sa bangka magfeelingbsleeping beauty ka lang para marami kang energy sa mga activities at syempre pagbalik mo sa opisina ng monday.. hehe..

Cebu is one of my favorite provinces in the Philippines. Dubbed as Queen City of the South because it is simply has it all from a giant metropolis to amazing beaches and endless waterfalls. It is a destination everyone loves. My first time here is way back 2006 for just a city tour with friends then went back as solo weekend traveler last 2019 to chill in the beaches of Batayan Island in the North and now, again as a solo weekend traveler to the South for a sardine run in Moalboal and swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob.
