The Hundred Islands National Park -- located in the south western part of the Lingayen Gulf, composed of 123 islands and islets, a protected area in the city of Alaminos, province of Pangasinan, is one of the remarkable tourist destinations in the Philippines. The three most popular main islands (developed for tourism) are Governor’s Island (popularized by the Pinoy Big Brother TV series), Quezon Island (named after the late President Manuel Quezon, the most family-friendly island with its shallow shores and an established camping site), and Children’s Island (similar to Governor and Quezon Islands, with shallow waters make it a perfect site for families with small children).

Baluarte Vigan -- a free-roaming animal sanctuary (mini zoo), owned by former Ilocos Governor Chavit Singson, with animals from other countries and others endemic to the Philippines, welcomes tourists to visit free of charge. Inside the eighty-hectare park sits the former governor’s multi-storey house (with a grand view of Vigan and the South China Sea), the golden-clad building topped with a burning bush up its roof. There is a butterfly garden, a s***t shooting range, and guests can visit and feed the monkeys, swans, flamingos, ostriches, albino, spotted deer and the one-hump camel. Children are allowed to sit on top of bigger animals, and can go to the tracks where they can ride the miniature horses. There are also scheduled live animal show and tell times, a petting zoo, where audiences are introduced to animals. Visitors can also see rows of cages where lions, Bengal tigers, peacocks, civet cats, iguanas, pythons, and other reptiles and birds are housed.
