Aidarkul is a semi-artificial lake created as a result of Soviet agricultural planning. On the site of Aidarkul, there was once a small seasonal lake that used to dry up completely in hot summers. In summer 1969, the high waters of Syr Darya overflowed the irrigation reservoir dam and water flooded the lowland beneath. Today the lake covers an area of around 4000 square kilometers, stretches for 250 kilometers in length and sits right in the middle of the Kyzylkum desert. It is a unique place to sleep in a yurt surrounded by desert and ride horses or camels. If you would like to support eco-tourism in Uzbekistan, there is a possibility to drive further to Nurota Mountains. There are local guesthouses where you can stay overnight and do some light hiking.

It's no surprise that tours to Islas de Gigantes or Gigantes Island in Iloilo, Visayas are becoming more popular due to the stunning Antonia Beach with its clear waters and white sand. It is a secluded beach where you can relax and swim all day without the large crowd. Colorful fish, corals, seagrass, and other sea creatures can be easily spotted near the shore on the beach's northern side, even without snorkeling equipment, but you have the option to rent gear for a closer view at a low cost. It's generally wet in Iloilo between June and August, so it's best to steer clear of those months because you'll have to take a boat during your island hopping excursion to Antonia Beach.

The vast Gyeongbokgung Palace complex, sometimes referred to as the Northern Palace, has seen some amazing upheaval throughout the years. During the Joseon dynasty, which constructed five opulent palaces all surrounding Seoul, it was initially constructed in 1395. The palace was initially taken over by the Japanese in 1592, bombed, damaged, and rebuilt many times until being fully restored in 1990.
