Mt. Apo reopening became an instant viral topic among mountaineering communities but beside the reopening excessive fees draws sharp reactions from mountaineers also.

Again we are not against any fees for that matter but the revenue, which would run to millions, raises questions of where it would be spend, and who would be accountable for it. If the fees are properly accountable and benefit the local communities as well as Mt. Apo itself then the higher fees will be understandable.
