City Hall of Davao is consonance with the mass production scheme of the Americans, the Davao City Hall follows the neoclassic style of other government buildings built during the American colonial period. The former municipal building constructed in 1926 the old city Hall (formerly the municipal building) was constructed in 1926, some ten years before Davao finally became a city. The Commemorative Monument of Peace and Unity with the Legislative Building in the background. Unveiled during the celebration of the Philippine Centennial in 1998, the monument depicts the peaceful relationship of the migrant and indigenous inhabitants of Davao in the last 100 years. The Legislative Building (Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Dabaw) as viewed from San Pedro Street with the commemorative monument of Peace and Unity in the foreground.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod is the Legislative Body of the city. It enacts ordinances approves resolutions and appropriates funds for the general welfare of the city and its constituents pursuant to selection 16 of the Local Government Code of 1991.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Dabaw is one of the places I really choose because of the beauty I see here from the internet. When you’re in Davao, you don’t feel like you’re in the province. It’s just like Manila but it has a great attraction and people speak Visayan. However, even though their speech is bisaya, it’s fun to listen to because you can feel their desire and willingness to tell stories.

We visited the Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Dabaw. I recommend tourist to come here because we can learn a lot about immigrants from Davao. Aside from knowing how important the people who leaves in Davao and where the City Hall of Davao and Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Dabaw started, the scenery here is also beautiful and there is also a huge statue of peace and unity here. You will definitely be able to look back at the relationship of the migrant and indigenous for Davao to have mutual help. The next thing we went to was the Osmeña Park you will relaxed your body with beautiful views. There are so many statues that it looks real. You will definitely get good photos here in this place because of the scenery. We didn’t stay there much when we went so we didn’t get much rest. My recommendation is that you take a long break when you come here. The third place we went to was the City Hall of Davao.

There is a strange building outside the Hall and there are also different design of durian fruit and so on. The beauty of the Hall that was built in 1926 is really impressive. Robert Bula to have the first City Hall photograph. The last place we went to was opposite the City Hall of Davao. I didn’t expect it to have a beautiful view at night compared to what I thought it would look like because of the photos I saw. The ceiling of the City Hall of Davao is so beautiful that most people also visit it and you can take beautiful pictures at night because of the decorations here.

Well planned marketing strategy, and if you’re looking for Durian delicacies as souvenir, this is would be the best place. When you want to buy straight from the outlet than at the airport because of the cheaper price and they offer a free taste of their delicacies.

Founded on 1993, Apo ni Lola Durian Delicacies began as a microenterprise in San Miguel Village, Matina, Davao City. It is primarily engaged in the manufacture of durian candies that started with only few variants and basic flavors. It began operating with three (3) workers including the owner himself who is a third generation descendant of Abondia Del Puerto Raakin or Lola Abon, whom the company was inspired. Products range from traditional and ever-popular durian candy, tarts, bars, sandwich spread, to durian ice cream. In addition to durian-based treats, it also offers products made from other local fruit such as mangosteen, jackfruit, marang, and mango.

While vacationing here in Davao City Apo ni Lola is one of the famous durian candy souvenir that proximately to my aunt’s house. December 14 my sister and niece passed us with Apo ni Lola when we entered there was a free taste that immediately opened up to us so we were very happy because it was only here that we experienced the free taste of Apo ni Lola and we bought of their special ice candy durian fruit they not only have durian flavor but also various other types such as mangosteen. Inside of Apo ni Lola when you enter beside of cashier you will saw the family picture and a poster picture of Apo ni Lola family and President Duterte and Heneral Bato poster.

And outside of Apo ni Lola store you can see the statue of durian fruit where you can take a picture because of its shape as if you are lying down and so you can sit down for a picture taking. I highly recommend you when you want to go to Davao City, look for Apo ni Lola in Matina Village not because their product is cheap but because their products are so good that I know you will definitely come back. It is also worth it to buy as a tourist for a souvenir for your family. Enjoy! Have fun.

“The San Pedro Cathedral Church”
Davao City, Philippines

San Pedro Cathedral is said to be the oldest church in Davao and a historical landmark. Its original structure built in 1874 along. The present structure has distinctive modern design- far from the original Spanish-style architecture and unique from most catholic churches in the Philippines – depicting that of a vinta carrying a cross at the helm. It is reflective of convergence of Christians and Muslims living in Davao who stand united despite differences in belief and ways of life.

San Pedro Cathedral is a religious and cultural treasure; it connects the present faithful to the old, past believers of Catholicism while it promotes respect and harmonious relations with others. San Pedro Church is one of my favorite places to go in Davao when I am on vacation because here I feel more the presence of the lord and it brings me that it’s like the old style and it’s always open for all people living there. The most attractive in San Pedro is the shape of the church it’s like a boat.

As a catholic person I always pray in different churches so San Pedro church is one of the ones I pray for when I go on vacation here in Davao. Especially the places that are really enjoyed by tourists, whether they are immigrants from other countries or the people who are right there in that area grew up and thought. I don’t do this just to take a prayers or vacation and reflect but to find out where and how that church is called.

And why is it visited by tourists. It is blessed to pray when you are with your loved ones, especially the FAMILY. Because family is a most important and beautiful gift to us of the LORD Jesus Christ, the family is the one you can lean on when you are in trouble.

One of the places I visited was the San Pedro Cathedral. San Pedro is one of the famous churches here in the Philippines. Many people really visit it because for them it is nice to celebrate the important blessings or pray for the good things that happened to you with your loved ones.

And the last thing I did and went to the San Pedro Church was the place where the candles were lit, I bought a candle and lit it with a prayer, thanked and apologized to god. Then I went to the bell with the statue of Mama Mary taking a picture because of the beautiful view. I was so happy when I went to that place because it is not only a church but it is one of the beautiful spot in Davao City.

“Dawis Beach is beautiful”

Dawis is a beach that you want to have and to relaxed and for sure you will come back and look for it. I’m sure that you love the place and vibes of nature. And not only the place you gonna come back here but also the sea foods, shell, crabs and the white sand. April 04 me and my friends family are decided to travel in Dawis to celebrate the birthday, to relaxed and have some fun. It’s really worth it and fun to be here in Dawis Beach.

Dawis Beach is one of a kind beach that I wish to go and travel because of its beauty that I just saw on Facebook. If you are in Dawis Beach, you can’t feel that you are stress and depressed. Because it’s look like stress reliever and a kind of happy pill that made you comfortable and relaxed and the people their they are very generous and kind because they will give you some fresh fish from the beach.

The first thing that we did when we arrived in Dawis we fall in line to pay our entrance, cottage and beds. And write our names on the logbook from adults to children. After we pay our entrance me and my friend family are preparing our foods, beds, clothes for swimming night, after we prepared all things we changed our clothes for swimming, eat our dinner and besides from that night view was so beautiful because of the lights in buildings. The resort have lights that facing on the beach so you can see the beauty of the beach when it night. The second thing that we did we change our wet clothes, drink some coffee with matching story telling in the middle of the cold and windy night. When you have plan to go in Dawis Beach you should choose to travel in the morning so that you will not get tired and you will have so much time to enjoy. Because when we went there its afternoon that’s why all of us are tired. I highly recommend that if you will travel choose morning. The third thing we did was eat our breakfast and have a coffee and take a morning selfies with the most beautiful sunset that I’ve never seen before, the sunset in the morning is the best moment that I loved in Dawis Beach and the big waves in the sea. The beauty of Dawis Beach is really impressive because its scenery. I think this is the most beautiful place to visit. And the last thing we did was sing on videoke and hunt crabs and take a picture at sea while the waves were strong to capture the waves shot. I can’t quite imagine the good memories I will experience there. Dawis Beach is very beautiful because I went to Digos City for the first time and that’s why it’s visited because it’s so beautiful.

The latter is the foods of Digos City. The only thing I can say is, they are good at making rice cake. Almost their rice cake is delicious liked plain rice cake or rice cake with coconut inside and the sea shells. Because of the delicacy of their rice cake, we sold a lot and ate while traveling that you will definitely come back and look for it because of the relish.

I will definitely go back to Dawis Beach because my experience here was so much fun. Not only because of the beauty of the place and the taste of the food but also because of the very generous and very happy people here. You can really feel that you are comfortable and stressful. One of the best cities I have been to is Dawis Beach. I will definitely come back to this place! Until next time, Dawis Beach Digos City.
