MT. LOAY REOPENS
After series of community consultations and document preparations, trekking activity finally resumes in Mt. Loay starting September 17, 2021. Before you enjoy your adventure here, please take note of the following guidelines:
β’ A Permit to Climb should be secured from the INVESTMENT PROMOTIONS AND TOURISM OFFICE from Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
β’ The Permit to Climb should be presented and paid to MAG-UUMANG TAGABAWA SA ANCESTRAL DOMAIN SA ZONE II (MATA), the partner Indigenous Peoples Association which is tasked to operate trekking activity in Mt. Loay in behalf of the Barangay Tribal Council. The permit fee is 50 pesos per person. The association is temporarily holding office at the Purok in Crossing Loay (left side if going up).
β’ A camping fee of 50 pesos per tent shall also be paid directly to the Actual Land Possessor of the summit campsite.
β’ Hiring of Accredited Tour Guide is mandatory. The guide can also assist you in securing your Permit to Climb.
β’ Strict COVID-19 protocols should be followed at all times. Face mask (preferably Neck Gaiters) should be used, and physical distancing should be observed at all times.
β’ Closed contact to a COVID-19 positive such as F1, F2 and F3 are not allowed to climb.
β’ Always bring down all your garbage down and the LEAVE NO TRACE outdoor principles should be followed.
