📍 Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau

Mediaeval Hospital, built in 1902 by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the outstanding figures of Catalan Art Nouveau (Modernisme).
Inspired by most modern hospital in Europe, he designed a hospital organised as a series of separate pavilions, surrounded by gardens and interconnected by a network of underground tunnels.

King Alfonso XIII formally opened the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in January 16th 1930.
Over the years, Sant Pau has become a prominent landmark within the cultural heritage of Barcelona and Catalonia. It was declared a Historic Artistic Monument in 1978, and was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997.
Because of the structural wear and tear on the buildings and demand for hospital treatment, they constructed new modern hospital buildings. After it’s completion, In 2009 they transferred all healthcare activities to the new buildings.
The modernista complex took a major restoration and made it as an international center for knowledge and a cultural landmark.

Is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this concert hall is over 100 year old and is built between 1905-1908. Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner to represent the Catalan culture and social life.

📍 Budapest, 🇭🇺

Budapest is beautiful all year round, it has plenty of things to offer on each season.
When you’re planning to visit Budapest you need to consider the weather, summer is from June to August. It’s a high peak season when tourist are out, everywhere can be crowded, long queues on attractions, temperature is high, and higher cost of hotels and airline tickets.
For me, shoulder and low season is always the best time to visit Budapest.
Shoulder season is on September, October, November and June. The weather is pleasant, limited number of tourist, the hotel rates are affordable and airline tickets are a lot cheaper but the down side of it is the days are shorter, including some attractions are closed and weather is unpredictable.

On the other hand low season is on late november to march, this is in fact the cheapest time to travel for several reasons like it is winter, the weather is cold and constant rains, shorter days, and some attractions are closed. But, not all are bad on this season, the hotels and airfare are low, no crowds and of course you will be able to experience Christmas when the city gears up with beautiful lights.

So, it really depends on what kind of traveler you are. Whatever you choose just plan ahead, do research, book your hotel and airlines ahead.

Pack the necessary things for that season and always bring comfortable shoes, as the whole city is walkable. Although public transport like bus, tram and metro are efficient, walking is still best to explore the city.

2 days is already enough to explore the city on a fast pace.

📍𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓻𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓟𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮 - ( Grote Markt ) It is a central square in Brussels and is lined by opulent Baroque guildhalls of the former Guilds of Brussels and two larger edifices; the city's Flamboyant Town Hall, and the neo-Gothic King's House or Bread House building, containing the Brussels City Museum.

The construction was completed in the 17th century and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

Nowadays it is one of the most important and famous sites in Belgium.
It is surrounded with shopping stores, chocolate shops, hotels, restaurants and outdoor cafes.

We took a day trip to Bruges, it’s an hour train ride from Brussels. Bruges is a small city in Belgium known for its charming medieval buildings lined along the canals, cobblestones streets and architectural wonders.
We explored the town by foot and enjoyed the picturesque views of the storybook classic homes.
Of course since it was Christmas when we visited Bruges, we had a good time at their Christmas market. The scent of the waffles permeated the air, of course we have tasted it and it was the best. It was freezing so we indulged in a Belgian hot chocolates while strolling.
We were so delighted, hopping from one place to another that we forgot and missed the canal tour, 😂😂😂.

This is one of the best spots in Paris, it’s always crowded but we’re just so lucky that we got these photos before the tourist arrived.

Tips: go there at sunrise if you want to get a good photos without the crowd.
