3rd Kumbati Siargao a boodle fight setup competition here in General Luna hosted by SITGOA.
OPEN TO ALL SIARGAONONS!
We are now accepting participants for the 3rd KUMBATI SIARGAO BOODLE FIGHT SETUP COMPETITION.
It is time to be recognized and claim the title as the BOODLE FIGHT MASTER/CHAMPION this year! JOIN NOW and do not miss this once in a year opportunity and be known as THE BEST in the ISLAND!
Guidelines:
1. The competition is open to all Siargaonon food enthusiasts. (e.g., Tour operators, restaurants, carenderias, resorts, bars, or any establishment duly registered at their respective municipalities.)
2. Applicants should fill-out the REGISTRATION FORM available at SITGOA Office or Municipal Tourism Office of General Luna. It can also be downloaded through the link attached.
3. Each team must compose of at least three (3) and a maximum of five (5) members.
4. The SITGOA Office and Municipal Tourism Office accept submission of entry forms from 8:00 AM of September 6, 2024 to 5:00 PM of September 16, 2024. An earlier cut-off date maybe announced if the maximum number of entrants based on the available space at the Boulevard have been reached. First Come, First Serve.
5. The team must use all of the ingredients listed below:
✓Rice & Pansit
✓Animal & poultry meat
✓Sea bounties: fish, squid, shrimps, shells, & crabs
✓Fruits & veggies
✓Siargaonon Local delicacies
6. The event is not a cooking competition. Entrants are allowed to bring their “cooked” dishes in the competition area. However, fruits and veggies should be prepared on the spot. Pre-sliced fruits and veggies are not allowed.
7. SYNTHETIC FOOD COLORING IS NOT ALLOWED.
8. Ceramic plates and bowls, plastic placemats, and other non-native service containers are not allowed. A native bowl for kinilaw or soup or dish with liquid is allowed.
9. The team will be provided with tables by the organizing team.
10. Tiering/layering of presentation or setup is allowed.
11. Entrants should always observe & follow health protocols, proper sanitation, and hygiene. Hairnets, gloves, and facemasks are required during the competition.
12. The team should provide native food covers for their entries. (e.g., Weaved palm leaves)
13. The team is only allowed one (1) hour and thirty (30) minutes to finish their work. Assistance and coaching from the audience are strictly prohibited.
14. PREVIOUS WINNERS INCLUDING ITS MEMBERS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO JOIN THE COMPETITION and is subject for disqualification.

Artistry and Balance (Color combination, coordination, balance of elements) 35%
Palatability (Taste & texture) 35%
Nutritional Content 10%
Total 100%
16. The decision of judges is final and irrevocable.

Grand Prize Winner 20,000.00 plus Trophy
2nd Prize 15,000.00 plus Trophy
3rd Prize 10,000.00 plus Trophy
