FOR TOURIST GOING OVERSEAS
OFFLOADING is one of the worst things that can happen to a traveler.
imagine the time and money you spent planning and preparing for your trip, all going down the drain.
Philippine immigration officers are very strict that can cause your plan go for naught.
๐Below are some tips for you not be offloaded by immigration officers in the Philippines.
โ๏ธThings to remember to avoid being offloaded
๐ฅSome reminders for a worry-free travel experience.
โค๏ธ1. Passport must still have 6 months validity.
Immigration are strict in terms of passport validity,
yes, you are only staying for a week but less than 6 months of validity is a sure offload.
โค๏ธ2. Flight ticket (with return ticket).
You also need to prove that you're only going abroad for the purpose you declared and that you're coming back to the Philippines on the date you stated.
A round trip ticket is a start,
but anyone can buy a ticket and not use it,
so you need to show you have ties to the Philippines.
If you have property in the country, bring proof.
If you're married, bring your marriage certificate.
If you have a child, bring his/her birth certificate.
โค๏ธ3. Ready your paid hotel booking voucher and Itinerary.
Prepare an itinerary and know it by heart.
Know where you're staying,
where you're going, and when you're coming back.
Bring the receipts of your plane tickets,
accommodations, and any pre-booked attractions.
โค๏ธ4. Prepare company ID and Certificate of Employment.
โค๏ธ5. Bring proof of your financial capacity
โค๏ธ6. Invitation letter / Sponsor letter
This is only applicable if someone has invited you or sponsored your trip, this letter must be authenticated from MECO.
โค๏ธ7. Relax and Dress smart
Don't overdress or underdress;
wear clothes that say you're a respectable traveler.
Answer the IO's questions in a respectful but confident manner.
Don't lie, but don't give out unnecessary information either.
Just get to the point and give consistent answers.
โค๏ธ8. Bring supporting documents such as a
ใปbank certification,
ใปyour latest income tax return (ITR),
ใปproof of property๏ผ
If you are employed, bring a
ใปcertificate of employment (COE)
and an
ใปapproved leave of absence (LOA).
(Some IOs apparently also require a photocopy of the company ID of the person who signed your COE and LOA.)
Additional requirement
For government employees, don't forget to request from your company an Authority to travel letter. If the IO finds out that you dont have one, its an automatic offload for you.
Posting this para iwas offload.
Hope makatulong. Good luck!
