CEB Advisory on Flight Cancellations from August 21 to 31, 2021
As of 7PM, August 20, 2021

The Philippine government, through the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 134, has placed NCR under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from August 21 to 31, 2021.
Cebu Pacific will continue to operate flights for essential travel during this time.

As such, CEB has cancelled some of its domestic flights from August 21 to 31, 2021. The full list may be found here: https://bit.ly/CEB_TravelAdvisories

Affected passengers have been informed via contact details provided in their bookings. They may select their preferred option (unlimited rebooking, 2-year Travel Fund, or Refund), until 30 days from date of departure, through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website (http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight).

Guests who wish to voluntarily postpone their domestic flights and those traveling for non-essential reasons until August 31 may also select their preferred option (unlimited rebooking or 2-year Travel Fund) up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure, through the same portal above.

PAL TO COMPLY WITH PH GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES FOR AIR TRAVEL DURING METRO MANILA ECQ & HEIGHTENED GCQ

For the Metro Manila area, the Philippine Government has extended a heightened General Community Quarantine (GCQ) until August 5, 2021, and has imposed an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) effective August 6 until August 20, 2021.

Accordingly, for the heightened GCQ and ECQ periods until August 20, domestic travel to and from Manila will be limited only to essential travelers, including NCR Plus residents returning to Manila, in compliance with the air travel restrictions imposed by the authorities.

International and domestic flights to and from MANILA shall continue operating during the ECQ and heightened GCQ periods, subject to compliance with the travel restrictions and related travel protocols.

We may have to reduce or cancel flights on certain routes as a result of the restrictions, and we will make the appropriate announcements on any adjustments once these are finalized.

Please stay posted for any updates.
Affected passengers may opt to:
1. Rebook your flight to a later date;
2. Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher;
3. Refund your ticket without penalties.

PAL TO DOMESTIC TRAVELERS: Know the Latest LGU Requirements

Domestic flights to and from Manila continue to operate during the ongoing ECQ period, subject to restrictions and requirements imposed by each Local Government Unit (LGU) of the concerned destination cities.

For the latest LGU reminders within this ECQ period, please visit:

While LGU requirements may vary from one province to another, please note that in all cases, domestic travel to and from Manila shall be limited to travelers, namely:

- health/emergency frontline services personnel
- government officials and frontline personnel
- duly-authorized humanitarian assistance actors
- persons traveling for medical/humanitarian reasons
- persons going to the airport for travel abroad
- persons crossing zones for work or business permitted in the zone of destination, and going back home.
- returning or repatriated OFWs and other Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) returning to their places of residence
- locally - stranded individuals (LSIs)

Should your flight be canceled due to the above restrictions and limitations, you may:

1. Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher (request until June 30, 2021);

2. Avail of unlimited rebooking (no rebooking fee) until December 31, 2021. If you will be completing your travel in the same booking class by June 30, 2021 (or ticket validity, whichever comes first), there will be no fare difference charge;

3. Refund your ticket without penalties.

LOOK: CAAP Operations Status Report 237 on Philippine Air Traffic Activity under the COVID-19 Code Red Sublevel 2

On November 13, 237 commercial flights were recorded by CAAP as it maintains operability under the provisions of the Modified General Community Quarantine and General Community Quarantine.

36 sweeper flights or special flights, which catered to a total of 1,606 passengers, were mounted to transport stranded passengers.

Meanwhile, continued service for cargo flights have been carried out, with 148 cargo flights being completed, in order to ensure that transport of goods is sustained.

Starting November 28, 2020, all departing and arriving passengers are required to use the Traze mobile app for contact tracing. Download and install the app before proceeding to the airport, for a more seamless experience.

Passengers who do not have mobile phones or mobile gadgets may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport for registration assistance to get a unique QR code, or they may ask a family member to register them with the app.

Starting November 28, 2020, all departing and arriving passengers are required to use the Traze mobile app for contact tracing. Download and install the app before proceeding to the airport, for a more seamless experience.
