To a generation unfamiliar about longevity and trust, Dave and Mahree’s story is a statement to all of us proving that relationships do not happen overnight.
Their story began inside the portals of Mindanao State University - Gen. Santos. For three years Dave and Mahree were college sweethearts.
After graduation and moving on with their career, they gave enough time and space for each other’s growth. Their relationship was blessed with friendship for another six years.
With growing came the reality and encounter of the cross, finding their lives at the foot of Christ. On their 8th year they began devoting their lives to God and pursue purity.
Over time flaws and imperfections were seen, doubts come hunting, yet to a God who cast out all fears and lavishes the heart to willingly accept, willingly see, and willingly persevere, love over and over again wins!
May 31, 2016, Dave was down in his knees and proposed to the love of his life, Mahree. They celebrated their 9th year as an engaged couple ready to commit to forever which have long started 9 years ago.
As a photographer, it's a pleasure to witness different stories of how two lost souls found their better half. And amongst all stories I’ve covered, this one is my favorite . It teaches all of us not to be necessarily in a 5 or 10 year relationship, but to love and choose to love, to start and to start over again, because there are no perfection, but imperfection finds its home to the place who truly loves.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Mahree Jesura - Cruz and Dave Cruz for helping us begin this 2017 with greater love!
