PAL's in-house PCR Test Center provides pre-flight convenience
Philippine Airlines is offering passengers who need RT-PCR testing for their flights (domestic/international) the convenience of its own RT-PCR testing center in Manila, with test results released within 12 to 24 hours.
Starting December 1, PAL ticket holders will enjoy a PHP500 discount from the PHP 4,500 regular rate.
The COVID-19 RT-PCR testing site is located at the Philippine Airlines Learning Center in Ermita, Manila with Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory as its DOH-accredited partner.
The PAL testing center's competitive advantage lies in providing flexibility of choice, early release of results and pricing perks.
PAL ticket holders may choose either a drive-thru or walk-in service option. The testing facility is open daily from Monday to Sunday from 8AM to 5PM with no noon break.
Passengers will experience pre-departure convenience with the testing facility's guaranteed release of results within 24 hours.
PAL travelers may pay in cash (PHP only), card (debit or credit), GCash, PayPalโข, WeChat Pay, or Alipay.
Upon entering the testing facility, PAL passengers must present their ID, PAL ticket, and QR code indicating completed registration on the PAL Passenger Profile and Health Declaration form. PAL passengers may access the form at https://bit.ly/PALIntPPHD.
Except for flights to the US, Canada, and Australia, all passengers must register and accomplish the online Passenger Profile and Health Declaration Form as early as 5 days before departure. For a list of countries where PAL flies to and are requiring RT-PCR tests, passengers are advised to visit https://bit.ly/PALTravelsFromPH.
In the meantime, PAL has also partnered with other accredited laboratory and testing facilities to provide passengers exclusive and discounted testing fees and/or quicker release of results. Passengers may visit www.philippineairlines.com for the full list of PAL other testing partners.
There are currently eight testing partners with more than 50 branches combined, available within Metro Manila and other Provinces like Cavite, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Iloilo, and Cebu. The testing fee and release of results vary among testing partners.
To avail of the services of PAL's other testing partners, passengers must proceed to the testing facility and present their ID, PAL Ticket, and QR Code indicating completion of registration via the PAL Passenger Profile and Health Declaration Form.

MESSAGE OF TOURISM SECRETARY BERNADETTE ROMULO-PUYAT ON THE CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD TOURISM DAY
On behalf of the Philippines Department of Tourism, let me warmly wish everyone a happy and meaningful World Tourism Day. This yearโs theme, โTourism and Rural Development,โ is particularly relevant to our country as many of our rural areas depend on tourism but have been adversely affected by the pandemic.
I am pleased to report that, in concurrence with our local government units, tourism stakeholders and local communities, we have slowly began reopening our destinations for domestic travel with health and safety protocols in place. This gradual revival of the industry will bring back jobs and livelihoods to the rural areas, where many of our tourism products, such as beach, diving, ecotourism, arts and culture, and farm sites are found.
In a recent United Nations Policy Brief, Secretary General Antonio Guterres has asserted that tourism has been a vehicle for integration, empowerment, and income generation for rural communities. This statement recognizes, at the highest level, the importance of tourism to a nationโs development. Our tourism industry in the Philippines has been promoting the inclusive development of the countryside, supporting our farmers, Indigenous Peoples, women, and other marginalized groups through sustainable programs that uplift and empower.
We have been given this time of tourism closure to transform the crisis into an opportunity; a chance to rebuild tourism on the foundation of safety, sustainability, inclusiveness, and resiliency. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to pursue equitable and responsible growth as the legacy of our industry.

THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW IN UAE (DUBAI)
1. PWEDENG MAG-INOM DITO.
-Although UAE is a Muslim country, it is actually very open and accepting to other's culture and religion. Non-muslims can still enjoy their favorite drink provided that they do it in appropriate areas such as inside their home, hotel or bars. Pwede ding makabili ng alak sa liquor stores as long as you have a liquor license. ๐
2. BABOY IS LIFE.
3. DUBAI IS NOT A COUNTRY.
-Contrary to the popular belief, Dubai is actually not a country nor the capital city. Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is the most progressing among the seven, but Abu Dhabi is the capital, not Dubai. Nonetheless, you will be amazed how loud and luxurious Dubai is!
5. CLEAN, SAFE, DISCIPLINED and VERY SYSTEMIZED COUNTRY.
-Mamamangha ka sa disiplina na meron dito. Isipin nyo, iba't-ibang lahi, iba't-ibang culture, iba't-ibang kinaugalian pero lahat sumusunod sa systema. Kahit wala ka masyadong makitang "men in uniform", yung mga tao dito takot na gumawa ng kalokohan. Bawal kumain, uminom, ngumuya o umidlip sa public buses and trains. Nakabukod ang mga babae at lalaki. Walang nagkakalat. Walang balasubas.
6. MAY DELIVERY SERVICE SA KAHIT NA ANONG KAILANGAN MO.
-May it be food from your favorite restaurant, or drinks from your favorite coffee shop, lahat halos pwedeng ipadeliver! Yung iba nga, kahit nasa baba lang ng building nila yung Baqala (convenience store) tatawag pa para magpadeliver ng asin, o tubig o gulay o kahit na ano mang nakaligtaang bilhin sa grocery store. ๐
7. PANADOL FOR EVERYTHING.
-Headache? Take panadol. Fever? Take panadol. Muscle pain? Take panadol. Cough and colds? Take panadol. WALANG LOVELIFE? TAKE PANADOL! hahahahaha

Condรฉ Nast Traveller UK (CNT) cites Hidden Beach in El Nido, Palawan as one of โThe 30 Best Beaches in the Worldโ.
"Itโs not quite so hidden any more, but this beach still makes its mark as one of the worldโs best. Palawan is filled with pristinely beautiful spots, but Hidden Beach โ surrounded by imposing limestone cliffs and with startlingly bone-white sand โ is separated from the turquoise ocean by a small keyhole-like opening, through which visitors must climb in order to access the lagoon."
The list claims that, โInstead of the typical sandy spots dotted with sun umbrellas and gaggles of tourists, we've sought out spaces that you may have to venture a little further for, but that remain incredibly beautiful and very often crowd-free.โ
