Travel with your pet via ferry! 🐶

Here are the requirements for a safe and smooth travel of your pets:
1. Permit to Travel from Bureau of Quarantine located at the port of origin (Vaccine record must be presented)
2. Certificate to Travel from your Vet
3. Must be caged
4. Pet are NOT allowed inside the accommodation area of the pet owner. Each vessel has an allocated area for pets.

The Japanese Embassy in Manila has opened five visa application centers across the Philippines to speed up processing and issuance amid the rising number of Filipino tourists traveling to Japan.

In January, the embassy advised applicants to submit visa requests at least two months in advance due to processing delays caused by a backlog. To improve efficiency, the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) was established in Parañaque, Makati, Quezon City, Cebu, and Davao.

The VFS Service Philippines, Inc. will manage visa applications, beginning operations on April 7, 2025. Appointments can be booked online starting March 19. The center will be closed on weekends and official holidays. Visa processing fees include a P520 visa fee and a center usage fee, varying by nationality and application type.

From April 7, applications will no longer be accepted at accredited agencies. The embassy also noted that urgent cases requiring humanitarian consideration should be directed to the Embassy or nearby consulates.

JUST IN: The Japanese Embassy in Manila announces on Wednesday (March 19, 2025) the opening of its new VFS-powered visa application center, which will begin operation on April 7.

The embassy says the online appointment website below is now open.

The number of visa-free destinations varies slightly between sources, with some listing 39 countries (VisaGuide) and others up to 67 (GMA Network) This discrepancy may be due to differences in classification, such as including visa-on-arrival or eVisa destinations.
