Molo Mansion in Iloilo City: 1950s and 2010s

The Molo Mansion, an iconic heritage house in Iloilo City, was constructed between 1920 and 1926 for Estanislao Yusay and Petra Lacson, along with their large family. This elegant mansion, known for its grand architecture and historical significance, has witnessed decades of transformation.

In the 1950s, the mansion stood as a testament to Iloilo’s colonial-era affluence, reflecting the prominence of the Yusay-Lacson family. However, over the years, it fell into neglect until efforts were made to restore it in the 2010s. By this time, the mansion had been beautifully rehabilitated and repurposed, becoming a cultural and tourism landmark.

Today, Molo Mansion serves as a hub for local heritage appreciation, housing shops that promote Ilonggo craftsmanship and history.
