The Legend of Mt. Pinihakang Daraga.
Is a tale of a tragic love story of Biladyong, Balanakon and Urdina. The two young and courageous chieftains Biladyong and Balanakon both seeks the hand in marriage of the beautiful Urdina. After confessing their love to the confused and doubtful Urdina, they both agreed to challenge themselves on a race to the hilltop carrying the biggest tree at dawn, whoever will win will have Urdina as his bride. At the foothill they started to race and eventually reached the summit at the same time — not a moment less and not a moment more. Tormented by the result, both young men decided to split the prize as fate dictates.

They laid her in the cold and moist earth to rest among the flowers and as the years passed by, the mound grew higher and higher to mountain heights. The mountain did not look right because it broke apart in the middle — thus it was called Pinihakang Daraga.🌿
