In those early days, hosting guests, including balikbayans, celebrities and locals, was a family affair. Milly would even be found directing kitchen staff and wa

shing dishes by hand. Their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews would grow-up helping around the hotel. Through the years, the hotel has been part of countless celebrations, from birthdays to weddings; and annual traditions, including New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day. The "hotel by the river" looks vastly different today from the way it looked when its doors opened in 1965, but at its heart remains family and the importance of extending that feeling of home to everyone who walks through its doors.
