The Bureau of Immigration has recently issued a warning of scammers offering fake entry permits to foreigners in exchange for grease money.

At the time of this post all foreigners situated overseas are encouraged to use their local Philippines Embassy / Consulate to organize visas and entry permits.

Presently, only Filipinos, foreign spouses and children of Filipinos, foreign parents of Filipino minors are allowed into the country. The entry of tourists into the country remain restricted

𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬?

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) issued a press release earlier this month, which clarified who is allowed to enter the Philippines, subject to visa requirements.

𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬

The following shall be allowed to enter the Philippines provided that appropriate visas are secured prior to their arrival:

• Foreign Spouses
• Dependents
• Parents of Filipinos

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

• Those with a 13A visa do not require additional documentation.

• For those without a 13A visa, proof of marriage and/or dependents must be shown. In additional they must have also previously resided in the Philippines either under a Balikbayan or tourist visa.

• A visa issued by their local Embassy/Consulate

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

𝐐) I hold a work visa (9A/9G), can i re-enter the Philippines?
𝐀: Not without a Filipino spouse or dependent

𝐐) I hold a Retirement Visa (SRRV), can i re-enter the Philippine?
𝐀: No, this is the same as the work visas

𝐐) I don't hold a 13A visa, but I'm married to a Filipino, can i re-enter the Philippines?
𝐀: Yes, provided that you can provide proof of the marriage (Marriage Certificate) and have previously resided in the country before.
