I am sorry if I have to repost this repeatedly. It is NOT the job of flight attendants to lift and stow your hand-carry luggage into the overhead compartments! They are required to assist persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant women, yes—but lifting and stowing hand-carry luggage for able-bodied passengers is NOT part of their responsibilities. This is a standard practice across all airlines to ensure the crew's safety and prevent health issues.
Unfortunately, those who claim it is the flight attendant's job to lift luggage are often either not involved in aviation or rely on unreliable sources with no knowledge of the industry. To those who say, "You got injured just lifting a 7kg luggage, weak!"—it’s easy to judge if you have not experienced the demands of this job.
I will continue posting this weekly to remind passengers that flight attendants are not required to lift luggage into the overhead compartments. Previously, I posted about this monthly, but with the increasing number of cabin crew injuries caused by repeatedly lifting luggage, I will now make this reminder EVERY WEEK!
