The Local Government Unit of Juban, through the leadership of Mayor Gloria L. Alindogan, is a recipient of the Certificate of Compliance issued by the National Commission for Culture and Arts for the Calendar Year 2023 in compliance with Article V of the Republic Act No. 11961 as the amendment of RA 10066 or the National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009.

The COC is granted by the NCCA to the LGUs who submit and comply with the requirements for adhering to the procedures on the submission of the Local Cultural Inventory of the municipality.

As the municipality strives to protect the local cultural and heritage properties as a heritage hub in the Province of Sorsogon, thus, it only implies the eagerness of the LGU, through the Municipal Tourism Office to attain its vision of preserving and protecting the rich ancestral properties of the heritage town.

Identifying such properties is one of the conservation steps that reveals the identity of the community and provides information on the local cultural heritage.

In celebration of the National Heritage Month this month of May 2024, The Local Government Unit of Juban through the leadership of Mayor Gloria L. Alindogan joins the celebration with the theme "Championing Heritage", the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) intends to conduct various programs and create tools that will help Filipinos on identifying cultural heritage. It primarily aims to recognize, conserve, and preserve our ancestors' historical heritage and identity for future generations.

By virtue of Proclamation No. 439, s. 2003, the month of May every year has been celebrated the "National Heritage Month" which aims to foster consciousness, respect, and love for the nation's culture and history among Filipinos.

Let us actively participate in this occasion on Championing our own Heritage by sharing your knowledge to our local heritage through the comment section.

Sa paggunita ng Ika-82 taon ng Araw ng Kagitingan na may temang "Pagpaparangal sa Kagitingan ng mga Beterano: Saligan para sa Nagkakaisang Filipino.", idinaos ang simpleng seremonya sa pamamagitan ng Flag Raising at Wreath Laying Ceremony ngayong araw, ika-9 ng Abril 2024 sa Juban Heritage Park.

Bilang pagtanaw sa kadakilaan ng ating mga bayani sa pagpapanatili ng ating soberanya at pambansanh seguridad, ginunita ng Bayan ng Juban ang Araw ng Kagitingan ngayong araw ng Martes.

Naging makabuluhan ang programa dahil na rin sa pakikipag-ugnayan ng Juban Municipal Police Station sa pamumuno ni PCPT Rudy Divinagracia, OIC Chief, sa Office of the Municipal Mayor sa pangunguna ni Mayor Gloria L. Alindogan at ng opisina ng Municipal Tourism sa pangangasiwa ni Gng. Lizpeth H. Nicolas, Municipal Tourism Officer - Designate.

Kasama ang ating mga magigiting na uniformed personnel, PNP Juban, BFP Juban sa pamumuno ni SFO3 Famela Espineda - OIC Fire Marshal, 31st IB sa pamumuno ni LTC Joy Villanueva INF (GSC) PA - Battalion Comander, Coast Guard Mobile Team sa pamumuno ni PO3 Bryan John Bantog - POIC CGMT Juban, at mga empleyado ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Juban. Kasama din sa nasabing okasyon si Municipal Councilor Danilo Dolosa.

Mensahe naman ni Mayor Glo na gawing makahulugan ang araw na ito sa pamamagitan ng paggunita ng katapatan at katapangan ng ating mga magigiting na mandirigma at tumindig tayo para sa ating kalayaan. Sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabutu sa ating sarili at sa ating bansa, naway maging makabuluhan pa ang kagitingan ng ating kababayan na lumaban para sa natatamasang kalayaan ng kasalukuyan.

Binigyan ding pagkilala ang bawat Jubangnong beterano na kaisa sa pagmarcha para sa kasarinlan ng ating bayan sa naganap na Bataan March na sina:

ALAM MO BA?

Mayroong lokal na bantayog sa Bayan ng Juban kung saan ay makikita ang mga pangalan ng magigiting na Jubangnon na nakiisa at ipinaglaban ang kapayapaan ng ating inang bayan noong kapanahunan ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig . Ito ay matatagpuan sa Juban Heritage Park sa likurang bahagi ng Monumento ni Rizal.

Ngayong Araw ng Kagitingan, ating muling balikan at gunitain ang kanilang kabayanihan kasama ang ilan pang mga Pilipino na ipinaglabaan ang kalayaang natatamasa ng kasalukuyang henerasyon.

The Local Government Unit of Juban through the leadership of Hon Mayor Gloria Alindogan celebrates its 225th Founding Anniversary since the establishment of the Municipality of Juban on April 7, 1799 as an independent town from the Town of Casiguran.

Participated by the 25 Barangays, including the CSO's, PO's, NGO's and National Agencies, this years simple celebration reminds us the building of an independent municipality through a strong bond and unified purpose.

Alindogan successfully maintained a safe, peaceful, and meaningful celebration of the Holy Week with the unwavering support of the Juban MPS, BFP Juban, MDRRMO, and RHU Juban personnel, as well as the assistance of the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Ms. Lizpeth H. Nicolas.

Mesmerized by the stunning well-preserved Bahay na Bato, Ancestral Houses of this municipality. These old houses were built during the Spanish Colonial Period and were owned by some of the well-known leaders in the government, proof that this town was once called "Illustrado" (or illustrious).

The Century-Old Rizal Monument

Juban is also home to one of the century-old monuments of the National Hero Jose P. Rizal built and constructed between 1922-1925 by Tomas Zamora located at Juban Heritage Park (old name Zamora Park in honor of the late constructor).

Historical buildings and sites that are over 50 years old are protected under the Republic Act No. 10066 or also known as the National Cultural Heritage Act signed into law on March 25, 2009.
