The holy week is fast approaching once again and it is expected that an influx of tourist is coming due to the weeklong holidays beginning April 6-10, 2023.
In line with this, the head of offices and representatives of the City Tourism Office, Emergency Medical Services - 911, City Hospital, PNP and BFP โ Kidapawan City had a coordination meeting in the preparation of the peak season. To ensure a memorable and fun experience of our visitors coming, safety and security measures were on top priority.
Kid - City PNP PSSg Glyn A. Palmes โ Operations PNCO informed the team that the Security Plan of the Holy Week preparation is already in place and have highlighted that Police Community Precinct is also activated especially those near to various resorts. Further, tourist police shall conduct random resort visits for monitoring and inspection during the peak season.
The City Health Office Emergency Medical Services - 911 representative, Mr. Kim A. Mangibunong, EMT, would like to remind all resorts owners to ensure that a full time Life Guard / First Aider must be available all the time.
SFO2 Hector A. Flores the Chief Admin of BFP โ Kidapawan have also informed the team that an ongoing inspection is conducted to various establishment in town for fire safety check and they will make sure that resorts shall be prioritized.
Meanwhile the City tourism promotions office shall continue monitoring and share information signage to all resort establishments especially on emergency hotline details.
The City Mayor, Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista strongly believes that the coming of tourists in the city will definitely boost our economic activity hence to ensure their safety is deemed essential.
