Hannah Adtoon Leceña and Adrian Pete Medina Pregonir are among the ten awardees of the Youth Achievement Awards (YAA) for Literary Arts.

These ten young writers are honored for their outstanding dedication and contributions to literature. They are recognized for their excellence and the awards they have received in creative writing.

The awarding ceremony was held on September 27, 2024, at the Cinense Library of the University of the Assumption in San Fernando, Pampanga. The ceremony was part of the 2024 National Youth Literary Festival (NYLF).

Other awardees include Leonard Francis Alcoran, Maria Rilke Arguelles, Emmanuel Jayson Bolata, Precioso Mamatan Dahe, Joseph Fernandez, Andre Alfonso Gutierrez, Hannah Pauline Pabilonia, and John Brixter Tino.

The YAA for Literary Arts is organized by the National Committee on Literary Arts (NCLA), which is part of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). This committee is dedicated to promoting Philippine literature and recognizing the talents of young writers across the country.

Leceña is from Kiamba, Sarangani Province, while Pregonir is from Banga, South Cotabato.

SOX Tourism Summit❤️

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: In celebration of the World Tourism Day, the conduct of the annual SOCCSKSARGEN Tourism Summit which was approved by the Regional Development Council (RDC) XII through Resolution No. 82, series of 2023: Enjoining RLAs, LGUs, and Private Organizations to support the Regional Tourism Summit. The annual Summit is facilitated by the Department of Tourism (DOT) XII in partnership with RDC XII.

The SOCCSKSARGEN Region is envisioned to become a peaceful, safe, resilient, and competitive region, the Agro-Industrial and Agri-Eco-Cultural Tourism Hub in Southern Philippines. Among the strategies stipulated in Chapter 9 (Reinvigorating Services) of the SOCCSKSARGEN Regional
Development Plan (RDP), 2023-2028, to boost the industry is to improve the quality of tourism
experience and to sustainably develop tourism activities related to agriculture, environment, and
culture.

The CY 2024 SOCCSKSARGEN Tourism Summit is scheduled on September 27, 2024, 9:00 A.M.
at the Convention Hall, The Farm@Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City with the theme "Tourism and
Peace: Bridging Cultures, Building Understanding." The Summit will be attended by representatives from both private and public institutions identified as the key industry players in the region’s tourism industry.
