A scorching atmosphere continues to pummel Tarlac Province as different municipalities experienced more than the 40°C heat index.

The town of La Paz have the highest heat index in the province at 42.1°C on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1:00PM.

Meanwhile, Camiling and Santa Ignacia are registered a heat index of 41.7°C. The City of Tarlac followed with 41.3°C and Moncada, Anao, Victoria and Concepcion with 40.9°C.

The towns of Paniqui, Gerona, Ramos and Pura are also among the towns who experienced a heat index above 40°C in Tarlac.

Heat Index is different from air temperature as it accounts for the air's humidity to determine what temperature the body feels.

Tarlac Forum would like to emphasize that this heat index was computed internally by our office using air temperature, relative humidity, and dew point data gathered from Windy.com. Furthermore our office would like to affirm that this is not an official PAGASA announcement.

PAGASA continues to remind everyone that places with a heat index of 33°C to 41°C should exercise "Extreme Caution", warning Filipinos that continuous physical activity may lead to heat-related injuries.
