“Rest in peace” is a common phrase, yet it takes on a much deeper meaning when we consider the reality of eternity.
After death, a person goes to one of two places: Heaven or hell. Those who enter Heaven are in Christ, meaning they have surrendered their lives to Him, repented their sins, and turned away from wrongdoing. This surrender allows Jesus to reign in their lives, transforming them into a new creation and chooses to live like Him.
When someone dies, they immediately go to either Heaven or hell—if they are in the Lord, they enter Heaven; if not, they go straight to hell. It’s important to remember that this transition happens very quickly, and those not in Christ will face eternal separation from Him. Hell is not a place of peace; it’s a place of separation, pain, regret, and endless suffering.
So, if you have not yet accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord, Personal Savior, and Great Healer, it’s time to receive Him now with all your heart.
Say this prayer;
"Lord Jesus, I want to be saved. I want to enter heaven and to have eternal life. I ask forgiveness for all the sins I have committed since childhood until now. I now forgive myself and those who sinned against me. I believe in You, Lord Jesus. Come into my heart and rule over my life. I now accept You as my Lord, God, Healer, and Savior of my life. I believe that You died and rose again to save me. I receive Your forgiveness and the cleansing of Your blood, shed on the cross of Calvary for me. I promise to remain steadfast in You and will obey Your word until I become like You. I will love You and serve You all the rest of my life until Your soon coming return. Amen."
