Cebu Pacific Advisory
Flight to/from China, Hong Kong, Macau
As of January 26, 2020

Cebu Pacific passengers with flights between the Philippines and Shanghai, Canton, Beijing, Shenzen Xiamen, Hong Kong and Macau booked on or before January 24, 2020 and travelling until February 29, 2020, may avail of the following options, free-of-charge:

● Rebook flights (new flight date within 30 days of original travel date);
● Refund tickets in full;
● Store the value of the ticket in a Travel Fund for future use

Passengers may choose any one of these options through the Manage Booking portal in the Cebu Pacific website, https://book.cebupacificair.com/Manage/Retrieve/.

Those who booked their flights through online travel websites or travel agencies who opt for a full refund are advised to coordinate with the agent where flight was booked and purchased.

For any other queries or concerns, passengers can message the official Cebu Pacific Air accounts via Facebook or Twitter.

In light of the situation with regards to the Novel Coronavirus, we urge all our passengers to take precautionary measures, which include:
●Frequent handwashing with soap and water;
●Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
●Using a face mask;
●Postponing air travel, especially if feeling unwell.

📌THINGS TO REMEMBER TO AVOID BEING OFFLOADED📌

Offloading is one of the worst things that can happen to a traveler. Imagine the time and money you spent planning and preparing for your trip, all going down the drain.

Here, I list down some IMPORTANT things for a worry-free travel experience.

👉No. 1 - Passport must be valid for 6 months

Immigration are strict in terms of passport validity. Yes, you are only staying for a week but less than 6 months of validity is a sure offload.

👉No. 2 - Roundtrip Plane Ticket

You also need to prove that you're only going abroad for the purpose you declared and that you're coming back to the Philippines on the date you stated.

A Roundtrip ticket is a start. But anyone can buy a ticket and not use it. So you need to show you have ties to the Philippines.

If you have property in the country, bring proof.
If you're married, bring your marriage certificate.
If you have a child, bring his/her birth certificate.

👉No. 3 - Ready your hotel booking voucher and Itinerary.

You must know everything.
Know where you're staying.
Where you're going, and when you're coming back.
Bring the receipts of your plane tickets, accommodations, and any pre-booked attractions.

👉No. 4 - Prepare Company ID and Certificate of Employment.

👉No. 5 - Bring proof of your financial capacity (Bank Statement atleast 6mos).

👉No. 6 - Invitation letter / Sponsor letter

This is only applicable if someone has invited you or sponsored your trip, this letter must be authenticated from MECO.

👉No. 7 - Relax and Dress Appropriately

Don't overdress or underdress. Wear clothes that say you're a respectable traveler.

Answer the IO's questions in a respectful but confident manner.

Don't lie, but don't give out unnecessary information either.

Just get to the point and give consistent answers.

👉No. 8 - Bring supporting documents such as:

・Bank Certification,
・Your latest income tax return (ITR),
・Proof of property．

If you are employed, bring a:

・Certificate of employment (COE)
and an
・Approved leave of absence (LOA).

(Some IOs apparently also require a photocopy of the company ID of the person who signed your COE and LOA.)

👉No. 9 - Be aware of your travel history

👉No. 10 - BE NICE. :)

Don’t let the airport stress and the long queue get to you. Always be friendly and polite, especially to the airport crews.
