Here's a timeline of how the tragic events unfolded:

- January 29

3:00 PM: Arrived at Tokyo Haneda Airport already feeling unwell.
A tour guide observed she had flushed cheeks and was wearing a mask. She claimed it was a common cold despite wheezing.

- January 30

Stayed at Hakone Hot Spring Hotel.
Despite a fever of 38°C, she participated in an open-air hot spring bath, which caused her symptoms (coughing and asthma) to worsen severely.

- January 31

2:17 AM: Rushed to a town hospital due to critical breathing issues.

Her blood oxygen levels dropped to 89%, and her lungs showed signs of infection. After receiving antipyretic injections, she insisted on returning to the hotel.

10:00 AM: Medical staff recommended transferring her to Tokyo General Hospital, but this was declined due to pre-arranged travel plans.

- February 1

While returning in the afternoon, she experienced respiratory arrest. Taken to a nearby clinic, CT scans revealed "white lung" condition.

- February 2

7:05 AM: Declared dead after 14 hours of unsuccessful resuscitation.
Cause of Death: Influenza A virus caused severe respiratory failure, compounded by hot spring exposure and delayed medical treatment.
