The Pahiyas Festival started as the LUCBAN ARTS for COMMERCE & INDUSTRY FESTIVAL in 1963. Organized by the Art Club of Lucban, the events back then consisted of an art exhibit, contest, cultural shows and parade.

the first Philipine Art Exhibition by Fr. Roy Quesea
April 8 - May 5, 2023 at the Pahiyas Art Gallery

Rev Fr Roy Quesea is a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey, USA. He loves to paint, sculp, sing, cook, travel, hang out with friends, play games both physical and virtual and more. He created his own website priestbrush.com to share his spiritual reflections through brush strokes and colors hence, "priestbrush."

Ordained a priest for the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey, USA on May 28, 2016 at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi.

Currently, he is the Vice-Chancellor and Priest Secretary to the Bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen.

He studied at PEL 2-A, PSL, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Seminary, Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology in New Jersey and finished degree in Canon Law at Pontifical University of Santa Croce in Rome.

Pahiyas Festival Route Map 2023

The Pahiyas Procession Map changes every year to give every Lucban household a chance to participate and decorate their houses and win cash and other prizes. Because of the religious significance of the procession, it is the Roman Catholic church who is tasked in planning the route for the next years Pahiyas celebration. Consultation with the Lucban Municipal Government is made with regards to vehicular traffic and other road concerns for the smooth flow of man and vehicles during the festival.
