The call to Germany and the rest of Europe is now even louder for CEFI’s interns under the Nursing and other allied health programs, thanks to our recent partnership with Care Beyond Borders (CBB) Global Recruitment GmbH, and Pro Civitate. Both organizations promise no less than international-caliber training and employment opportunities for our trainees and graduates. In this interview, CBB Managing Director Mylene Vollboldt and Pro Civitate CEO Christian Hallerbach unravel the exciting details of what we can expect out of our partnership with them, and also provide a glimpse of what life can be like for CEFI interns and graduates in Germany.
The visit of representatives from our international partner from Indonesia, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa (UST) last May 23 was a resounding success! The UST delegation witnessed CEFI's prowess in community service projects, particularly those involving health and wellness. They saw firsthand the quality of our instruction, as well as our practices in the field of research. Last but not least, they got a dose of our hospitality highlighted by the masterful rendition of an Indonesian classic by The Calayan Minstrels. UST expressed great optimism in its partnership with CEFI following the visit.

Yet another groundbreaking development as CEFI inked a Memorandum of Understanding with German organization Pro Civitate yesterday, March 19. This partnership intends to provide training and employment opportunities for our students in Allied Health programs such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, etc. Represented by Christian Hallerbach, this organization currently operates around 25 elderly care facilities with 1,500 employees. Mr. Hallerbach emphasized CEFI’s potential to answer growing manpower needs as Germany’s elderly population is projected to swell in the near future.
Hats off to Mr. Chinkee Tan who really showed his caliber as life and wealth coach before the jam-packed audience of the 3rd floor of KRU Bldg. during the 2024 Employees Congress held today. The seminar is part of CEFI’s 51st Foundation Anniversary activities.
CEFI inked a Cooperation Agreement with the Germany-based Care Beyond Borders (CBB) Global Recruitment GmbH last Jan. 22. The agreement will allow internship opportunities for our Nursing students, as well as job placement for graduates of the said program. CBB Managing Director Ms. Mylene Wollboldt remarked that CEFI’s reputation in health science education preceded her generation, and that this agreement “goes beyond business.”
What's better than a new building? Two new buildings! As the construction of the new RAVC Hall is underway, the groundbreaking ceremonies of the new Karunungan (KRU) Hall was held today. Aside from classrooms, the transformed KRU Hall will house an auditorium with a near-400 seating capacity, conference halls, cafeterias, and ambulatory services.

This is as good a moment as any to look back at what we have accomplished these past 365 days, and to take pride in them, even if it meant just making it through the year. You did good. And this is as good as moment as any to remind ourselves that every day is a new beginning. Happy New Year everyone!
You know that the days are not always kind. You don’t always feel like you belong. Amidst your day-to-day sadness, failure, and suffering, others seldom hear your cries, because they are too busy crying out themselves. We only hear our own echoes, going blindly about, uncertain of our direction. It can be like that most days. But this day is always different. This day, we are always reminded of One who listened, of One who took our burdens and made it his own, of One who took away our uncertainties and put purpose in its place, of One who still does all that to this very day. This day is a chance for us to overcome grief, rekindle lost bonds, and realize that true happiness is in the giving away of ourselves to others, just like He showed us. With this solemn thought, the CEFI community wishes you a happy and heartfelt Christmas!

RECAP: CEFI is out there spreading the Yultide spirit even before the clock struck December, as the MMG Hospital and Mt. Carmel Diocesan Hospital got a caroling treat from no other than The Calayan Minstrels last Wednesday, Nov. 29.
Here’s a glimpse of the future, Cefizens. The construction of the RAVC Hall is officially underway with the groundbreaking ceremonies held yesterday. The two-story building will house 12 classrooms. A testament to innovation and sustainability, RAVC Hall will be constructed out of repurposed shipping containers.
There’s nothing like Undersecretary of Health Dr. Enrique Tayag dishing out the moves on stage to capture the jubilant spirit of the 48th Commencement Exercises held on July 7 at the Queen Margarette Hotel, much to the delight of the 338 graduates.
With the highest GWA of the Class of ‘23, BSA graduate Zhaira Orenday delivered the valedictory address. This year’s batch produced 7 Magna cm Laude, 17 Cum Laude, and 10 Academic Distinction awardees.
