On November 23 and 25, 2024, Luna, La Union celebrated two significant events that highlighted faith and cultural heritage. The 65th Pontifical Coronation Anniversary of Our Lady of Namacpacan featured a solemn Mass attended by hundreds of devotees, followed by traditional Filipino folk dances performed by local students. A key highlight was the Pinnakan Festival, where the community gathered to share food for free, embodying the spirit of unity, generosity, and inclusivity. Long tables filled with local delicacies were prepared, inviting everyone to partake regardless of status, reflecting the townโs enduring sense of camaraderie and hospitality.
On November 25, the Solemnity of Saint Catherine of Alexandria was presided over by Bishop Daniel O. Presto, D.D., of the Diocese of San Fernando, La Union. Similar cultural showcases further emphasized the community's shared devotion and the deep connection between their faith and rich traditions.
