Lumayag is a beautiful atoll island. An atoll is a ring-shaped coral reef, island, or series of islets that surrounds a body of water called a lagoon. It has a pure white sands and clear pristine water. It is a favorite picnic area not only of the Lungsodaanons and Baybayanons but also residents of the neighboring barangays and visitors/guests.
The site can be declared by the municipal council, in coordination with the Barangay Officials of Lungsodaan and Baybayon, as an eco-tourism area.
The island is visible during low tides and is submerged during high tides.
Best time to visit Lumayag Sandbar is at sunset and when the tide is low.🏖️
