ATTENTION:
On June 6, 2024 (Thursday) Friendship Tours and Resorts Corporation can only accept the usual OLD JAPAN TOURIST VISA requirements because, starting June 10, 2024 (Monday), Japan Embassy in Manila will be introducing a new "Multiple Entry Visa for Filipino Nationals with Considerable High Income" with (90 days of stay per visit) Japan Embassy will partially revise their website.
As for how to apply for the same visa, if an applicant checked the box for "Person With Sufficient Financial Strength" on the statement of reasons for requesting a multiple-entry visa, applicant can apply for the conventional "General Multiple-Entry Visa" that allows you to stay for 30 days, or the new visa. Our Consulate will conduct an examination to determine whether you fall under one of the categories of ``Philippine nationals with a considerable high income'' who are eligible for a 90-day stay.
The issuance of multiple entry visas for the above-mentioned "Considerable High Income" which is not required under the previous "General Multiple Entry Visas".
○ Certificate of employment (with period of employment, salary and position listed) is now considered a required document, but the application method will be the same as mentioned above, this applies to all Tourist Visa including the primary (single entry) which the Japan Embassy have uniformly revised anew.
Since the number of visa applications in the Philippines has continued to increase since the coronavirus outbreak, and our consulate's operations are under strain. This will be a uniform revision as it will be necessary to confirm the requirements for various materials for each application type.
Furthermore, "Bank Statements," which have often been requested as additional documents, this document will no longer be necessary, but still these should be required as follows, specifically, regarding the application documents for;
- TOURISM WITH MULTIPLE ENTRY REQUEST

If the applicant is a doctor, lawyer, etc., Please submit the Professional Regulation Commission PRC ID, Integrated Bar of the Philippines IBP ID.
(Note 1) If the guarantor will pay the expenses, a LETTER OF GUARANTEE is required to be submitted.
3. BANK BALANCE CERTIFICATE
※ If the average deposit balance for 6 months or more (average amount for the past year, etc.), is already indicated on the BANK CERTIFICATE, the BANK STATEMENT is not required.
*If the Bank Certificate only has 3-month Average Daily Balance or a 30-day average amount is listed, a Bank Statement for 6 months is required.
4. INCOME TAX RETURN (ITR)
- For self-employed individuals, attach a copy of the receipt to
prove tax payment issued by the BIR.
- For employed individuals with ITR Form 2316 signature of both
the Employer and the employee is a must.
- For Business owners a proof of ownership of the business such
as DTI Certificate, Business Permit from the City Hall
5. CERTIFICATE OF EMPLOYMENT
* Must indicate the LENGTH OF SERVICE, POSITION and
COMPENSATION.
* For self-employed persons, Company Name Registration
Certificate issued by DTI and Business Permit/License issued by
city hall.
*If “Retired, Full-time Housewife, Unemployed” is written in the occupation column on the first page of the application form, there is no need to submit (5). (Please see note 2)
*If applicant is a student, (without a guarantor) a copy of the student ID OR Certificate of Enrollment. (Please see note 2).

*If the applicant is unable to submit either or both of (4) and (5), please submit an EXPLANATION LETTER.
6. SCHEDULE OF STAY (ITINERARY)
7. PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE (Must be latest or at least 1 year from the date of issuance prior to Japan Embassy submission)
* In case the Birth Certificate is late registration, Baptismal
Certificate AND Form 137 are required.
8. PSA MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE (For married applicants) (Must be latest or at least 1 year from the date of issuance prior to Japan Embassy submission)
9. If the applicant has a GUARANTOR, a proof of relationship between the GUARANTOR and the APPLICANT is required such as PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATES, PSA MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES or any documents like PHOTOS TOGETHER etc…
Note: Numbers 8 & 9 are not required if the applicant can submit the old passport with used Japan Visa.
10. OTHER REFERENCE MATERIALS
The notification period will be approximately two weeks from today.
○ After June 10, 2024
- Japan Embassy will only accept visa applications with new basic documents to be submitted.
- If the above basic documents are not complete, the application may be discontinued or subject for termination of the application please be guided accordingly.
