Today, the country celebrates Bonifacio Day as we commemorate Andres Bonifacio's heroism during the Spanish colonial era. Bonifacio is the Father of the Philippine Revolution and the founder of the secret society, Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalang na Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan or the Katipunan, which was a community that sought the independence of the Filipino people from its colonizers.

As we once again celebrate World Tourism Day this September 27, the UN Tourism has set the theme for this year as “Tourism and Peace,” where tourism is more relevant now in playing a role in the world’s continued pursuit for peace. Happy World Oceans Day! May we all strive to keep our oceans clean, the underwater teeming with life, and its flora and fauna flourishing.

Did you know that it was only in 2015 when Chinese New Year was declared as a national holiday in the Philippines? Such had been made as an acknowledgement to those of Chinese descent who have long been part of the Philippines' history, especially when it comes to trade businesses. This year, with the Philippine Chinese New Year centering in Binondo, the festivities is set to begin through a 12-minute fireworks display on the midnight of February 9, 2024 at Jones Bridge, to be followed by a parade of at least 40 floats the following day from the Manila Central Post Office to Lucky Chinatown Mall.

Happy New Year to each and everyone of us! We hope for a prosperous and joyful year ahead! With this, we wish to inform everyone that our offices will be closed for the day. We will be returning tomorrow, January 2, 2024 (Tuesday).

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas! May we all continue to spread hope and cheer to each other.
