Agri-Trade and Investment Expo 2023 | June 30-July 2, 2023

The Province of Davao del Sur celebrates its 56th Founding Anniversary with vibrant and exciting events, including the DavSur AGRINEX Expo at GMALL Digos from June 30 to July 2, 2023.

The AGRINEX includes a trade fair, business matching, and product demos. It highlights the agriculture, MSME products, and investment potential of Davao del Sur.

The 3-day Expo was participated by the Municipal Tourism of Malalag, showcasing local products and a diorama of Malalag Port.

Dukilom Cave | Mabini, Malalag, Davao del Sur

The Local Government Unit of Malalag together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – CENRO and PENRO conducted an ocular inspection at Dukilom Cave, Barangay Mabini, Malalag, Davao del Sur last April 13, 2023.

The owners was also present during the inspection. He and his family are always ready to support the LGU plans to make the site one of the tourist attractions in the municipality.

Now, the cave and river continue to be visited and featured by various vloggers, and is gaining fame for its alluring beauty. Malalag is truly a Gem of the South!

The Local Government Unit of Malalag visited two municipalities—Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat, and Lake Sebu, South Cotabato—on March 16–17, 2023. Sangguniang Bayan members and staff and the Municipal Tourism staff conducted a benchmarking activity. The purpose is to learn from the best practices of the two municipalities, particularly in the area of tourism.

The emerging tourist attraction of the Municipality of Bagumbayan—the Bansada Agri-Eco Adventure Park—has been operating since December 2020 and now has tourist arrivals from different municipalities, provinces, regions, and even foreign nationals. The picturesque view, along with the IG-worthy areas and amenities (ATV, Cable Car, Pasalubong Center), attracted curious and adventure-seeking individuals.

The LGU Malalag officials and staff also paid a courtesy call to the mayor of Bagumbayan, Hon. Jonalette E. De Pedro at their municipal hall. The Land of Dreamweavers, Lake Sebu, is located in the Ancestral Domain of the T’boli and Ubo tribes. The municipality was named after the largest lake in the area, which serves as the major source of the locals livelihood. It is one of the prime eco-tourism destinations in Mindanao. Our Lady of Divine Mercy Shrine, Seven Falls, and Punta Isla Lake Resort were the sites visited by LGU Malalag officials and employees.

The Local Government of Malalag will launch its’ First Malalag Seaside Night Market on December 16, 2022, Friday at the Overview, Purok 6, Barangay Baybay, Malalag, Davao del Sur.

The Night Market will be along the coastal road affording a stunning view of Malalag Bay at night. A variety of food and goods will be on display for the potential buyers and consumers to taste and buy. This will also provide our small entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their products and earn income from their sale.
