Cebu Pacific Advisory No. 2
Flexible Options for Passengers Affected by Airport Navigation Technical Issue
January 1, 2023, 2:30PM

Cebu Pacific advises its passengers that the Philippine Air Traffic Management Center (ATMC) is currently experiencing technical issues which are affecting all operations.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is now putting in place emergency protocols to address the situation while fixing the technical glitch, so flight operations can resume as soon as possible. CAAP said the safety of passengers is the priority of the agency and it is better to secure aircraft on the ground to avoid any airborne accident.

All flights have been temporarily put on hold. The list of canceled flights may be viewed here: https://bit.ly/CEBOps-ATMCOutage

We discourage passengers from going to the airport and advise them to monitor their flight status online. Affected passengers have been informed and provided with options (free rebooking, travel fund, refund) through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website https://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight

For all other flights until 12:00PM of January 2, 2023, CEB is also offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their trips.

CEB is coordinating with the necessary authorities on when the situation will normalize. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

PAL WARNS PUBLIC VS FAKE WEBSITES, SOCMED PAGES

We would like to caution the public on the proliferation of fake websites and social media pages offering promotional fares or announcing anniversary gifts.

These bogus websites and pages aim to lure and mislead you into thinking that they are official airline promotion sites, and they request you togive personal information such as bank account details.

We warn the public against logging on and engaging with any of these fake platforms, as doing so will compromise or breach the privacy of your personal data.

Philippine Airlines does not utilize its social media pages (Official PAL Facebook) as a
platform to sell tickets.

PAL tickets are sold through our official website philippineairlines.com, our contact center hotlines and ticketing offices or via authorized travel agencies.

Please note that bank account details are NOT requested when customers book through any of these sales channels. Our PAL Website and PAL FB Pages do not offer cash/ ticket prizes.

For the general public's guidance and reference.

01/02/2022

Starting February 1, 2022, Philippine Airlines welcomes fully vaccinated passengers with no mandatory facility-based quarantine needed upon arrival. This is in relation with IATF Resolution No. 159.

Passengers are however, still required to show proof of fully vaccinated documents and follow protocols upon entry.

16/01/2022
15/01/2022

Advisory No. 237

FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS: NO VACCINATION, NO FLY (new DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Department Order No. 2022-001)

Effective January 17, 2022, airlines are only allowed to accept fully vaccinated passengers for carriage on our domestic flights to and from Manila.

This requirement was imposed by the Philippine Department of Transportation (DOTr) and is valid for as long as the Metro Manila area (National Capital Region – NCR) remains under Alert Level 3 or higher. The requirement applies to all domestic travel to and from NCR, including the travel of individuals who reside outside NCR but who work inside NCR.

Travelers are considered fully vaccinated if at least two weeks have elapsed after their second dose of a two-dose COVID vaccine, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose COVID vaccine. You are required to present physical or digital copies of a vaccine card issued by your local government unit (LGU), or a vaccine certification issued by the Department of Health (DOH), or any document prescribed by the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease); as well as a valid government-issued identification card (ID) with your picture and address. The DOTr order is here: https://bit.ly/NoVaxNoRideDOTR.

However, PAL can accept unvaccinated individuals, including minors, who can present:

1. A duly signed medical certification with the doctor's name and contact details that states that their medical condition prevents full COVID-19 vaccination; or

2. Appropriate proof (e.g., barangay health pass) to support that their travel is to procure essential goods and services (e.g., medicine, medical devices, medical and dental necessities, public utilities, etc).

Children 11 years old and below can be accepted on PAL flights without the need for a medical certificate, but should still present proof of essential travel, and must follow the LGU requirements for their destination. Please be ready to present proof of the child’s age if requested.

We seek your kind understanding, as we are required to comply with government directives for the safety of all travelers and our communities. We reiterate that the new directives apply only on domestic flights to and from Manila; our other domestic flights do not fall under these restrictions.

If the new directive prevents you from traveling, and you purchased your ticket prior to January 17, 2022 and booked for travel on any date from January 17 to January 31, 2022, your ticket is safe and remains valid, and you may avail of the following options:

1. Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year (1) year from date of issuance.

2. Rebook or Reroute your ticket to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same cabin class.

3. Refund ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge.

No show fees will be collected if your confirmed reservation was not cancelled at least four hours before your booked flight departure time.

You may request the above through our MyPAL Request Hub facility at www.bit.ly/MPRHPAL.

For such rebooking requests and transactions, we encourage you to use our MyPAL Request Hub rather than call our PAL customer hotline (which is presently unable to fully accommodate the very high volume of calls and requests). If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent, please deal directly with your agent.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work together with our government authorities to promote and enforce safe air travel.

Our PAL Medical team is carrying out its oversight functions in monitoring the health and wellness of all employees - including our cabin crew and flight teams.

Options for Passengers of Cancelled Flights

We sincerely regret the inconvenience this will cause to your travel plans. Your current tickets are safe and remain valid, and you may avail of the following options if your flight is cancelled:

1. Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year (1) year from date of issuance.

2. Rebook or Reroute your ticket to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.

3. Refund ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge

You may request the above through our MyPAL Request Hub facility at https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/ph/home/covid-19/mypalhub.

You may access the online self-reaccommodation tool for flight rebooking https://bit.ly/SREAC.

If your contact details are in our reservations records, you will be informed of the status of your flights via e-mail, telephone call or SMS/text.

Adjustments due to service constraints:

We encourage you to use our MyPAL Request Hub for rebooking requests, queries and ticket transactions, rather than call our PAL customer hotline or visit our ticket offices (which are unable to fully accommodate the very high volume of calls and requests). Please consider deferring less urgent rebooking transactions related to travel within the next seven (7) days, and let us reserve the customer hotline and ticket offices for the most urgent calls and transactions. If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent, please deal directly with your agent for any rebooking or ticketing transaction needs.

Our Metro Manila city ticket offices will be open only five (5) days a week, from Mondays to Fridays, 9 AM to 5 PM. However, our airport ticket offices at NAIA Terminal 2 (2 AM to 10 PM) and Terminal 3 (8 AM to 5 PM) will remain open on all days of the week; and our Domestic Airport Road ticket office in Pasay City will be open from Mondays to Saturdays.

Please stay updated on changes in travel requirements by checking the website of the concerned provincial local government or destination country.

We assure you that PAL adopts and continuously updates strict health and safety protocols to protect all travelers, including full PPE for our cabin crew, aircraft cabin air flow systems that continuously infuse fresh air, and HEPA filters that screen out viruses and other contaminants, for a safer and cleaner environment.

THANKS FOR BEARING WITH US

We greatly appreciate the dedication of our PAL personnel who are able to report for work and do their best to care for our customers despite these challenges.

We sincerely apologize to our passengers and their families. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work with you and with our partner agents, government authorities and our PAL teams worldwide to make the best of a very challenging situation.
