How to travel smart 🤓
Remember I mentioned, on my last topic, I will discuss how to travel smart. Especially for those on a tight budget like I do.
The first thing we do is to check the government confirmed holidays for next year 2020. And then we look for long weekends that suite our travel needs. Because there are different types of long weekend holidays and you have to choose wisely to be able to achieve the relaxing vacation you needed.
April 9-12 (holy week) - will you like to travel on these dates where establishment, is partly closed for the Lenten season, and expect crowded beaches.
May 1-3 (2 nights stay) - the best month to travel 🏖
June 12-14 (2 nights stay) - the best month to travel 🏖
August 21-23 (2 nights stay) - the start of the rainy season but cheaper room accommodation 🌧
August 29-31 (2 nights stay) - the start of the rainy season but cheaper room accommodation 🌧
October 31 to November 2 (2 nights stay) - the weather is unpredictable it can be good or bad 🌦
November 28-30 (2 nights stay) - the weather is unpredictable it can be good or bad 🌦
December 24-27 (3 nights stay) - the best season to be happy but room accommodation is expensive ⛄️
December 30 to January 3 (4 nights stay) - the best season to be happy but room accommodation is expensive ⛄️
Once you have specifically chosen your preferred dates, then you can request for a leave for those who have a boss.
After the dates, then next is the destination. When choosing the place to stay, you have to take consideration of your budget (again). If places like Siargao, wherein everything is expensive from room to plane tickets. And while Batanes is dirt cheap for accommodation, but the fare will cost you a fortune. And for a popular destination, you need to book everything in advance, because it is a must (to avoid inconvenience). Searching for a place to stay will take you time, but once you find it, it's worth the travel.
When you already decided where to stay, then you can start checking for airline promos, patience, and religiously checking the airline website is the key to getting a great deal.
But if you don't have the time to do all this detailed stuff. There are Travel Agents who can arrange this for you, with different options to choose from for a minimal fee. The difference between online booking software and an online conventional Travel Agency is the human touch. Because some of the travelers prefer to talk or chat with someone with regards to their travel inquiries & questions.
Planning ahead of time not just saves you time but gives you the calculation of whether you want to splurge or go for a string budget.
