JUST IN || PPC REMOVES S-PASS REQUIREMENT WHILE UNDER ALERT LEVEL 1
The City Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has removed the S-PASS requirement for travelers going to Puerto Princesa City in adherence to Alert Level 1 guidelines, regardless of vaccination status.
"Yong S-PASS na dati nating ni-re-require ay suspended or hindi na po required habang tayo ay nasa Alert Level 1. Passengers may now board their planes without needing to comply with S-PASS registration or application while we are [under] Alert Level 1," City IATF spokesperson Norman Yap said in a live update Tuesday via the City Information Office.
Staysafe.ph app registration for digital contact tracing has also been removed.
Yap also said testing before travel is lifted, except for unvaccinated travelers from areas under Alert Level 2 or higher. Travelers who will fly to Palawan from Alert Level 2 areas, such as Cebu City, will have to present negative antigen test results.
"Yong test before travel requirement ay lifted, kung halimbawa galing kayo ng Metro Manila, na sa ngayon ay Alert Level 1, kagaya natin na Alert Level 1, wala na pong test before travel na requirement. You can board your plane, and then when you arrive here may symptoms screening na lang," he said.
The tourism bubble has also been removed for Puerto Princesa City, meaning tourists no longer need to book with an accredited travel agency or only visit certain sites and destinations. | via Patricia Laririt
