Starting April 7, Filipinos applying for a Japan visa will no longer go through accredited travel agencies. Instead, applications must be submitted directly to the Japan Visa Application Center (JVAC), which will be operating in five locations nationwide.

The JVAC will be managed by VFS Global, in partnership with the Japanese Embassy in Manila, to streamline visa application services.
