Are you ready to make a lasting impact in the lives of children with disabilities? If you are, then come and be part of a community that aims to provide care, support, and empowerment to these children.

Join us in Baguio from April 22 to May 1, 2025 for an exciting and rewarding experience that promises not only to enrich the lives of the children but yours as well. 🍓🌲

Our 9-Sunday training program is set to begin on February 23 and will run until April 20, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This program will equip you with essential skills and knowledge to handle children with disabilities effectively. It is open to everyone aged 18 and above who has the heart to serve and the willingness to be trained. Sessions will be held at the Makati Medical Center Auditorium, 8th Floor, Tower 2.

Rizal Day, celebrated every December 30, honors the life and legacy of Dr. José Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines. During Spanish colonization, Rizal, who was well-known for his intelligence, patriotism, and selflessness, used his writings to motivate Filipinos to fight for their independence and to ignite the spirit of revolution.

As a reflection of his everlasting devotion for the country and his vision of a free and progressive Philippines, today commemorates the anniversary of his sacrifice in 1896. Let's pause to consider his lessons and embody his call for national pride, education, and unity!

The SOURBLAST: A Burst of Tart and Tales—CHASS General Assembly 2024 concluded triumphantly. Every presence, labor, and ounce of determination has borne fruit—culminating in the event's success. 🍓🍭🍬

The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences - Student Council wishes to convey its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in this occasion!

A special round of applause goes to the creative minds behind the booths, which added so much vibrancy to the celebration. From engaging interactive pursuits to satisfying every CHASSmate's cravings, the stalls infused excitement and extra shimmer. 🎡🎠🎪

Understanding the current state of children's rights goes beyond acknowledging their needs; it's about making sure every child's voice is heard and their future is safeguarded in an ever-changing world. 👪❤️‍🩹

In the Philippines, the Magna Carta of Children Bill (HB No. 10159) was approved by the House Committee on the Welfare of Children on May 13, but it is still awaiting passage. Once enforced, this bill will strengthen children's rights, particularly in education, healthcare, protection from abuse, and empowerment.

While we await its passage, let’s use this moment to deepen our understanding and spark awareness about the importance of children’s rights. Let’s act now and ensure every child’s rights are not just written but lived! 💙

In times like these, 𝗥𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺, the 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙑𝙋 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙨, 𝙑𝙋 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮, and 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙐𝙋 𝘾𝙍𝘼𝙙𝙇𝙚, has an important reminder for us. A child is taught how to develop their own thoughts, and it is highly beneficial for them to be exposed to a variety of sources and activities from which they can learn an immense quantity of information. However, due to COVID, we have lost our most valuable commodity—face-to-face teaching and hands-on learning—and education has become more challenging since the curriculum needs to be rebuilt in preparation for learners during the lockdown and quarantine that occurred for 2 years. Given the change in learning modes, the kids should be included in consideration of implementing effective teaching methods for all, and the opportunities to contribute to their economies and societies will follow.
