𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘:

In view of the forecasted inclement weather brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and Typhoon "Carina," the recommendation of National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, and the announcement from the Office of the Executive Secretary, the MARINA Central Office is CLOSED today, Wednesday, 24 July 2024.

The THEORETICAL EXAMINATION, scheduled today, 24 July 2024, will be SUSPENDED. Affected seafarers shall apply for the "RESCHEDULE WITHOUT PAYMENT" (for initial examination) or "RESIT WITHOUT PAYMENT" (for resit) in the MISMO system. Once approved, the seafarer shall select his/her preferred date of examination.

Meanwhile, the CONDUCT OF PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT in affected areas are also SUSPENDED. Assessment Centers in other regions/areas may still conduct practical assessments. Such centers shall submit their CCTV recordings to the Examination and Assessment Division (EAD) one (1) day after the conduct of the said assessment, as per Memorandum Circular No. SC-2022-03 Series of 2022.

Operations and services will RESUME on Thursday, 25 July 2024.

The MARINA STCW Office will be closed on Friday, 07 June 2024, in view of its Mid-Year Performance Assessment.

IT support and communication hotlines will not be operational, and no theoretical examinations and practical assessments will be conducted on the same day. Additionally, processing of MARINA Professional License IDs at SM Manila will not be available.

Regular operations will resume on Monday, 10 June 2024.

Please be guided accordingly.
