ALERT: Full-Scale Implementation of the E-Travel System

Starting April 15, 2023, travelers to and from the Philippines are required to register through the E-Travel portal (https://etravel.gov.ph).

This is in line with the directive of the government's Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on the complete utilization of the e-Travel system.

FOR ARRIVING PASSENGERS:
Register within seventy-two (72) hours prior to your scheduled time of arrival in the Philippines.

FOR DEPARTING PASSENGERS (Filipino passengers only):
Register within seventy-two (72) hours prior to your scheduled time of departure from the Philippines.

For your guidance:

1. Visit etravel.gov.ph
2. Select “Philippine passport holder” or Foreign passport holder” according to your nationality
3. Enter the details of your travel and your email address
4. Enter your personal details and sign a health declaration form to complete registration
5. Wait for your QR code to be generated then download and print/save a digital copy.
6. Present your QR code upon check-in prior to your departure or during the BOQ verification upon arrival.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) will discontinue the use of paper-based arrival and departure cards beginning May 1, 2023.

We look forward to your compliance with the new procedures for a seamless travel experience.

Thank you.

TRAVEL REMINDERS FOR HOLY WEEK 2023

We expect a large volume of passengers will travel by air to, from and within the Philippines during the coming Holy Week period (April 2 to 9, 2023).

A few reminders to help you prepare and plan for a smooth Holy Week journey:

SKIP THE LINES.

You may check-in via our website or myPAL app within 24 hours to 1 hour before your flight.

MAKE SURE YOU STAY WITHIN YOUR FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE.

Properly pack your bags within the allowed free baggage allowance of your booking class and declare your items during check-in.

HIT THE ROAD EARLIER TO GET TO THE AIRPORT ON TIME.

Expect heavy traffic, especially in the bigger cities like Manila and Cebu, so leave home extra early.

Our Manila check-in counters are available to accept passengers:

• 3 hours for domestic flights at NAIA Terminal 2

• International flights:

• 6 hours for NAIA Terminal 1

• 5 hours for NAIA Terminal 2

CHECK BEFORE YOU FLY.

It’s a good idea to check the latest update on the status of your flight by logging on to our website, www.philippineairlines.com.

Simply click the Flight Status tab and type in your flight details. Flight status information is available from 2 days before your flight, and is updated regularly.

KNOW YOUR TERMINAL AND BOARDING GATE ASSIGNMENTS.

Always check and listen to announcements for updates, in case there might be changes.

You can also check the Airport Terminal information page on our website.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VALID PASSPORT, IDs, AND VALID DOCUMENTS.

For International trips:

- Ensure that your passport is at least 6 months valid from your date of travel

- Ensure that the name on your ticket is exactly the same as the name reflected in your passport

- Ensure that you have the required visas, permits, vaccination card (if appropriate) and other documents required for your destination

For Domestic trips:

- Bring your valid government, school, or company-issued ID (and your vaccination card, if required for your destination)

- Ensure that the name on your ticket is exactly the same as the name reflected in the ID presented upon check-in and boarding

Odette Advisory No. 1
PAL Advisory on Typhoon ‘Odette’

We are closely monitoring the track of Typhoon ‘Odette’ (international codename: “Rai”), which is expected to cross through parts of the Visayas as well as southern Luzon, Palawan and Northern Mindanao in the coming days.

For urgent safety reasons, Philippine Airlines may have to cancel certain domestic flights or adjust schedules, likely for December 16 (Thursday) and possibly on December 17 and/or 18 as well in certain areas, if the storm remains on its current path.

If you are traveling on a flight to/from one of the affected areas on December 16, 17 or 18, we recommend that you check the status of your flight before proceeding to the airport, and watch out for our flight advisories and updates on the PAL page and on the web at www.philippineairlines.com.

We will keep you informed on developments.

In the meantime, residents of all affected areas are advised to monitor official government advisories and prepare for the potentially severe impact of Odette.

Thank you.
