Laguindingan Airport (Cebuano: Tugpahanang sa Laguindingan; Filipino (Tagalog): Paliparan ng Laguindingan) It is designed to serve the general areas of Cagayan de Oro City of Misamis Oriental and Iligan City of Lanao del Norte in the Philippines. It is a flagship project of the Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Corridor Special Development Project, which covers both cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro, as wel

l as five coastal towns in Lanao del Norte, and in the twenty two towns especially Gingoog of Misamis Oriental first and second congressional districts. The domestic airport sits on a 4.17 square kilometre site in Barangay Moog, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, and is located 46 kilometers from the existing Lumbia Airport. Upon its completion, it will be a Class 1 major international airport and will be the main airport of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan Cities in Northern Mindanao (Region X).

The Laguindingan International Airport project is included in the infrastructure flagship projects of the national government.

The airport development project will include an aviation strategy for new airlines and new connections including the development of international flights, expansion of the airport’s capacity according to market demand, and introduction of new concepts of sustainability and connectivity to improve the environmental and operational performance of the airport.

The airport’s development and upgrade are seen to improve passenger experience and implement commercial services in the extended terminal and on the landside.

Laguindingan International Airport is among the airports lined up for privatization that is aimed at defining the development of international flights, implementing commercial services and expanding the airport’s capacity to enhance passenger experience.

This will serve the Northern Mindanao Region that is composed of five provinces – Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Bukidnon and Camiguin – along with two highly urbanized cities, Cagayan de Oro and Iligan.

Just this month, the DOTr and CAAP led the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the airport’s passenger terminal building, which will increase capacity from the current 500 to 860 passengers, representing a 72 percent increase.

Usa ang syudad sa Cagayan de Oro sa siyam ka mga pilot cities sa tibouk nasud nga benepesyaryo sa maong proyekto nga gikatakdang ilusad karong Oktubre 26 pinaagi sa virtual launching.

Nasayran nga ang ‘Urban Connect Project’ nga proyekto sa USAID nagtumong pagtabang sa siyam ka mga local government units sa nasud alang sa pag-promotar sa usa ka 'inclusive and resilient economic growth'.

Update: Dipolog flights cancelled until Oct. 31 while runway repairs continue

For the safety of our passengers, we have suspended flights to and from Dipolog up to and including October 31, 2023, to give way to repair work on the damaged runway surface at Dipolog Airport:

We will operate alternate replacement flights between Manila and Pagadian to serve passengers from the cancelled Dipolog flights as follows:

October 29 to 31, 2023

PR 2751 Manila-Pagadian - departing at 05:15 AM

Confirmed Dipolog-Manila and Manila-Dipolog passengers on the cancelled flights until October 31 will automatically be rebooked on our Pagadian-Manila and Manila-Pagadian flights respectively.

Alternatively, you may also take our Ozamiz-Manila and Manila-Ozamiz routes or rebook to future Dipolog flights.

OPTIONS FOR PASSENGERS OF CANCELLED FLIGHTS:

You have the option to:

• Reroute to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.
• Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year (1) from the date of issuance.

For the safety of our passengers, we have cancelled the following domestic flights to and from Dipolog City due to surface damage to the runway at Dipolog Airport:
