The Ifugao rice terraces are rice paddies handmade out of stones at various elevations following the slopes of the surrounding mountains. They can reach as high as 50 feet. The Philippine Rice Terraces were carved into the Cordillera, North Luzon Mountains in the Philippines over a 2000 year period by ancestors of the indigenous "Ifugao" people and declared an UNESCO Heritage Site.

The Cordilerra is a mountainous, enormous area in Northern Luzon with elevations up to 2900 meters encompassing the remote provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Baguio City (its regional center). Banaue’s spectacular rice terraces have been dubbed “the eight wonder of the world”. The Cordillera is home to numerous indigenous tribes, collectively called the Igorot owning a fascinating culture.

All our Banaue tours are seat-in-van basis with small groups of minimum 2 / maximum 7 persons.

Guaranteed seat-in-coach Banaue tour departures : from December 1 until May 31 we require at least 2 participants . For June 1 to November 30 we require at least 4 passengers.

Travelling in the period between June 1 and November 30 and not 4, but rather 1, 2 or 3 persons ? We are happy to accommodate you. Price, however, will be based on a private tour.
