It started in the 1950s as Trumpet, an English newsletter, and was later renamed as the Junior Businessman in School Year 1974-1975, after the college level's publication Businessman. IN PHOTOS 2/2 | Students of different organizations held a "Banchetto day" at the LHS grounds as a segment of the celebration for the 70th founding anniversary of PUP LHS last Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
The Drum and Lyre's kick-off presentation launched the program, followed by welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Maria Lourdes Rebulanan and ribbon-cutting by faculty, staff, and students.
Each organization creatively builds activities aligned with the carnival theme of the event. This includes a jail booth, Wordscapes and Roulette, Ring Toss, Ping Poll games, Balloons and Dart games, Photobooth, Bucketball, "Palabunutan," Brand busters, Peal the Real Deal, Bottle and Memory game, Mini Basketball, and selling of food items.

On November 15, 2024, the PUP gymnasium came alive with the spirit of reunion and nostalgia. Alumni from different batches gathered for a homecoming celebration; a journey back to the moments that shaped their lives. The celebration was a tribute to the perennial bonds that transcended the decades, highlighting that while time may change circumstances, the relationships formed remain forever strong and meaningful.
Over the past 70 years, PUP LHS has become a beacon of academic excellence and lifelong friendships among its students. This evolution is further enhanced by the invaluable contributions of our esteemed alumni, whose legacies continue to inspire current and future generations. Their achievements and experiences serve as a reminder of the power of education and the community built within the walls of PUP LHS, showcasing a commitment to excellence that has endured through the years. The homecoming celebration was a reunion and a continuation of the values and principles that have guided the school throughout its storied history.
