On a beautifully nostalgic day, the PCC-LHS Class of 1964 alumni embarked on a memorable journey back to the halls of PUPLHS, a place that holds countless memories of youth, learning, and camaraderie. Their visit was not just a walk down memory lane but a testament to their enduring connection to their alma mater and a demonstration of their commitment to giving back to the community that shaped them.

The PUPLHS community welcomed the alumni with open arms, feeling a profound sense of appreciation for their benevolence and the lasting impact their gift will make. The visit served as a powerful reminder of the bonds that tie alumni to their educational roots and the incredible difference they can make through their support and engagement. It underscored the notion that while we may all move forward in life, the foundation laid by our schools remains a cornerstone of who we are and what we can achieve.

This distinguished group of alumni, whose lives have been sculpted by the values and knowledge imparted upon them at PUPLHS, returned to their roots with a purpose that transcends mere reminiscence. With gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility towards the next generation of students, they generously donated funds to the PUPLHS Drum and Lyre Band, a pivotal part of the school's cultural and artistic expression. This contribution will ensure that the band, an emblem of school spirit and talent, will continue to thrive, enabling current and future students to explore and develop their musical abilities, teamwork, and discipline.

The PCC-LHS Class of 1964's visit and donation to PUPLHS Drum and Lyre Band symbolize the enduring spirit of giving back and the importance of fostering a strong, supportive community. It stands as an inspiration to current students and future alumni to remember where they come from, to strive for excellence, and to always remember the importance of contributing to the places that have contributed so much to their own lives. The PUPLHS community is deeply grateful for this gesture, reaffirming the shared belief that together, we can create a brighter future for all.

SCO MITING DE AVANCE 2023

September 27, 2023 - The PUP LHS Commission on Elections set the Multi-purpose hall on fire as they held the Miting de Avance for the upcoming election of the new leaders of the Student Council Organization. This activity marked the end of the 5-day campaign of each party.

At this event, the Swift and the Eunoia party list enumerated their qualifications and showcased their achievements to empower the students with a clear vision of the school year 2023-2024.

The turning point of the Miting de Avance was the open forum, where candidates from both parties faced the questions regarding school and social issues asked by the faculty judges.

The majority of the questions from the faculty judges revolved around the candidates’ capability to serve as the bridge between the school administration and student community, as well as their proficiency in offering guidance on global social issues. Additionally, the candidates faced queries regarding their commitment in fostering transparent and effective communication within the student body.

Both party lists had displayed utmost professionalism during the program and stated no confidentiality in service to the LHSians. The objective of the two parties is to establish a great subsidiarity through effective communication and implementation of projects for the benefit of every student.

The Miting de Avance served as an event to speculate on the propositions of each party about the current issues inside and outside PUP LHS. The opinions and the responses of the candidates shall allow LHSians to decide who among them is the most deserving of their votes.

May the forthcoming SCO officers embody ‘eunoia’ and enact swift actions for the greater good of PUP LHS.
