JUST IN: Taiwan extends visa-free entry privilege for Filipinos by a year- or until July 31, 2021 - says Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in Manila.

Same extension given to nationals from Thailand, Brunei, and Russia.

Travel ban Lifted 🤗

The Philippine government lifts its travel ban on Taiwan upon the decision of inter-agency task force led by Health Sec. Duque.

"The Palace confirms that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) has resolved to lift the travel restrictions imposed upon Taiwan, effective immediately. Accordingly, travel may now be made by any national to Taiwan from the Philippines and vice versa," Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a statement. | via Christina Mendez
