Our pilgrimage chaplain Rev. Fr. Regin Tenorio during the Eucharistic Consecration in Lanciano, Italy where the first and greatest Eucharistic Miracle of the Catholic Church happened. This wondrous Event took place in the 8th century A.D. in the little Church of St. Legontian, as a divine response to a Basilian monk's doubt about Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist. During Holy Mass, after the two-fold consecration, the host was changed into live Flesh and the wine was changed into live Blood, which coagulated into five globules, irregular and differing in shape and size. Both the flesh and blood have remained perfectly preserved for twelve centuries and can be viewed in Lanciano to this day. We usually have our renewal of wedding vows in the main church but for some reason we ended in the crypt! This is where the friendship and bonding of our group started! The ceremony was very intimate and just full of love! This is one of my favorite part of the pilgrimage! ๐Ÿ’•
