September in Matag-ob was a month of vibrant celebrations and unforgettable moments! The Himorasak Festival 2024 brought our community together with colorful parades, lively dances, and a true showcase of our rich cultural heritage. From start to finish, it was a month of unity, abundance, excitement and happiness, where every corner of Matag-ob shone with the spirit of togetherness. Here's to the heart and soul of Leyte!
Last September 22, 2024, the Municipality of Matag-ob came alive with the vibrant colors, sounds, and excitement of the much-anticipated Himorasak Festival! ๐โจ
The streets were filled with pride and joy as our community gathered to celebrate our rich cultural heritage. From the energetic street parades to the mesmerizing traditional dances, every moment was a true reflection of the heart and soul of Matag-ob. ๐๐บ
This year's theme, "NAGTANUM UG KAKUGI, HIMORASAK ANG ANI," resonated deeply with every participant and spectator, reminding us of the power of togetherness and the strength that comes from embracing our UNITY.
As we danced, sang, and celebrated, we honored not only our history but also the future we are building together. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration unforgettable! ๐บ๐ซ

Miss Jude S. Sulla, who serves as the Tourism Officer for Matag-ob, celebrated her birthday in advanced through MBGT Birthday Tree Planting Campaign on August 7, 2024, happily joined by the Masaba Elementary School students and teachers to do the tree-planting activity. This special and heartwarming day brought together students from Masaba Elementary School, the Municipal Mayor Hon. Bernandino G. Tacoy, SB Committee Chairperson in tourism and environment Hon. Romeo Albarida and MENRO Charmaine Parac. Their efforts made a lasting impact in Matag-ob's sustainable goal of making it GREEN AGAIN.

MATAG-OB ATO ISA-ULOG
The very first BDO-LS Concert was held last June , 2024 in celebration of our town fiesta in honor of our patron Saint Anthony of Padua.
It was a night to celebrate local talents, to celebrate unity, to celebrate success, camaraderie and every emotions not just joy and gratitude but feelings like worry, vulnerability and so on. We Matag-obanons rallied around the value in feeling and growing from it.
Thank you to our BDO-LS Alliance family for continuously promoting UNITY in DIVESITY, proving that tourism alliance within our municipalities bring solidarity and success.
Our Local Chief Executives are testament of strength in unity,
