UPDATE: Boracay has updated its entry requirements for domestic and foreign travelers. Fully Vaccinated tourists, both domestic and foreign, no longer need to undergo RT-PCR testing. For the complete requirements, please refer to the following:

• Proof of Identification (ID for domestic travelers, Passport for foreigners)
• Proof of Vaccination Status

For Fully Vaccinated:
-VaxCertPH (vaxcert.doh.gov.ph); or
-Locally Issued Vaccination Card with verifiable QR code or contact details of vaccination center; or
-WHO International Certificates of Vaccination and Prophylaxis/Vaccination Card or Vaccination Certificate issued abroad

Unvaccinated/Partially Vaccinated:
-RT-PCR Negative Result Certificate taken within 72 hours to date of travel

For 12 years old and below:
-Accomplished Certificate of Undertaking Traveling w/ Minors template (aklan.gov.ph)

• Copy of confirmed booking slip/form from DOT-Accredited accommodation establishment
• Round-trip flight/travel details

Fully vaccinated travelers from visa-green countries shall be accepted starting February 10, 2022.

Effective February 1, 2022, fully vaccinated tourists are no longer required to submit a negative RT-PCR result to visit Boracay.

Starting February 10, 2022, fully vaccinated foreign tourists from visa-free countries will also now be able to visit Boracay. JUST IN: Effective Feb 1, fully vaccinated passengers will be required to present negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure from country of origin, and they will no longer be required to undergo facility quarantine.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers would be required to undergo facility-based quarantine until the release of their negative RT-PCR test taken on the 5th day.

Effective Feb 10, fully vaccinated nationals of non-visa required countries shall be allowed to enter the Philippines, subject to several conditions. | via Leila Salaverria/Philippine Daily Inquirer

NO MORE RT-PCR REQUIREMENT FOR FULLY VACCINATED TOURISTS ENTERING BORACAY SOON

JUST IN: Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores announced that they will soon remove the RT-PCR test requirement for tourists entering the world-famous Boracay Island.

During today’s virtual conference of the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force, Miraflores said that once all individuals in the island are fully vaccinated, they will allow tourists from other places in the country who are fully vaccinated and will no longer require RT-PCR test to revive the tourism industry.

“The requirement for the RT-PCR test will now be removed and we will just require our tourists to have just the vaccination certificate (must be issued by the DICT to make sure that the person coming to the island are really fully vaccinated). We hope with this opening up of the island to fully vaccinated tourists will ensure the recovery of the island,” Miraflores said. | via Glenda Tayona/PN
