The Mobile Community Support Sustainment Team (MCSST) of the 62nd Infantry "Unifier" Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, led by Cpl Mark Anthony Cadavos, joins the monthly National Immunization Program and provided security assistance at Barangay Sandayao, Guihulngan City.

The immunization activity, led by Mrs. Rodefe Galeos, Head Nurse of the Sandayao Health Center, aimed to reduce the prevalence of vaccine-preventable diseases among children. This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration in promoting the health and well-being of the community.

Isabela, Negros Occidental – The 62nd Infantry 'Unifier' Battalion, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Evelio C. Ilanga III, Acting Commanding Officer, activated its Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) teams in response to the high alert status for Tropical Storm 'Bebinca' and Mt. Kanlaon that shows signs of increased seismic activity.

LTC Ilanga emphasized, “Unifier Troopers" are fully prepared to assist in disaster response efforts, ensuring the safety and protection of the communities under our responsibility in Negros Island. We are in constant coordination with local government units and relevant agencies to mitigate risks and provide timely support where it is most needed.”

The Army in Negros remains vigilant, ready to deploy in response to any emergencies resulting from both the storm and potential volcanic activity.

Army in Negros on High Alert for Tropical Storm “BEBINCA” and increase seismic activities of MT Kanlaon. 👊🇵🇭🛟🦺

CAMP GERONA, Murcia, Negros Occidental – The 303rd Infantry "Brown Eagle" Brigade, 3ID, PA, led by Brigadier General Orlando D. Edralin, has activated an alert status in preparation for Tropical Storm “Bebinca” and with the increase in seismic activities of MT Kanlaon.

BGen Edralin has mobilized the Disaster Response Task Units (DRTUs) from the 303rd Infantry Brigade, 62nd Infantry Battalion, 79th Infantry Battalion, and 94th Infantry Battalion, including reservist teams from the 605th CDC, RESCOM, PA. These units stand ready for deployment “on-call” as conditions dictate.

BGen Edralin urges the public to remain vigilant, cooperative, and responsive. “Your army in Negros is prepared and committed to assist during natural calamities. Strong collaboration with local government units and stakeholders is essential for everyone’s safety,” he stated.
