you've seen your friends getting excited everytime they get a Balikbayan box from their relatives abroad.. or you've been longing to get a laptop but can't afford one.. you've heard that laptops, digital cameras, branded shoes, bags and clothes are so much cheaper in the states. Well, actually, its not that easy since you know that shipping using UPS, Fedex, etc. is kinda expensive. Going through P
ostal Service isn't that safe considering all these news about shipments being stolen by the Postal workers themselves. Plus the added unreasonable cost of custom taxes and redtape. Also, most of online and retail stores in the US does not want to ship outside the US. That's why we are here to help. For a very minimal service fee, you too can now order stuff from the US. All shipment from the US to the Philippines will be handled by either Johnny Air or LBC North America. They offer Sea Cargo/Balikbayan Box (normally 45 days transit) and Air Cargo (7-10 days). Me, Rollette, an OFW working in NYC. I started working here in the States in Feb 2003. Since then I only get to see my family mostly every Dec to spend Xmas and New Year with them. My wife, Erica, a QA working for a BPO whose main office is based here in Florida. It was a really good setup for her as her job allows her to work from home. Now if I can only have the same job so that I can spend more time with them that would be awesome right?! My wife and two kids, Gabby and Lance lives in Muntilupa, near SM Mall Muntinlupa. We are honest people so you can be sure you're in good hands =)
What's the reason behind this? Everytime I came home for a vacation, spending time with friends, chatting with ordinary people, going around places, malls, parks, tiangge, etc.. I noticed that most of the stuff available locally are getting more and more expensive compared to the prices of the same stuff being sold in the US. For example, I would never attempt to go inside a Ralph Lauren, DNKY, Gap, Guess, Levi's or even an Old Navy Store in Manila cause I now that their prices are ridiculously expensive. But here in the states, it's so ordinary, it's like going inside SM. Their prices here is comparable and sometimes cheaper than items being sold in Bench, Giordano, etc. In Manila, bags and shoes are expensive too. Although there are some knockoffs in Greenhills, Divi, etc.. well.. you know the quality and the look isn't the same.. you can tell they are cheaply made compared to the originals. Here in the States, you can get a real nice Nine West bag for maybe less than $30.. no kidding! Same goes for perfumes, cosmetics and watches. Perfumes are definitely cheaper in the US and most of the time it includes freebies like bags, sampler, etc. There are branded (Kenneth Cole, Guess, Anne Klein, etc.) watches being sold at Century 21 (Mall in NYC) for less than $50. Electronics like laptops, digital cameras, etc... We know that most of it are made in China or Taiwan. Some are even made in the Philippines. But for God sake, they're made close to our country, why are they more expensive in Manila than in the US! Last Black Friday (Thanksgiving), an Acer laptop is being sold online for $200! An Olympus 12MP digital camera for less than $60! Now get me one in Manila! Grocery items are also getting expensive in Manila. Toothpaste, Shampoo, Soap, Victoria's Secret Lotion/Body Spray, Vitamins, Coffee, etc. even Synthetic Engine Oil for our car, I get them in the States. Those are mostly what they see everytime I send a Balikbayan Box =)
Let's cut to the chase, the reason behind this is, WE WANT YOU TO EXPERIENCE WHAT PEOPLE LIVING IN THE US AND THEIR RELATIVES IN MANILA ARE GETTING! Access to branded, cheaper, high quality products.
