𝗔 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲

The Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte hosted a vibrant fiesta-themed welcome dinner for the participants of the Philippine Experience Program (PEP) Caraga, featuring a showcase of its 10 municipalities’ tourism offerings at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Capitol on Monday (Oct. 28).

Each municipality had their own booths and offered their most popular local delicacies and other products available for purchase, highlighting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the locals.

A delicious feast was prepared by the region's talented chefs, and guests were also treated to lively cultural performances by local talents, giving them a glimpse of the province's colorful cultural traditions, proving why “Life is Livelier” at Agusan del Norte.

DOT Undersecretary Verna Buensuceso shared the importance of PEP to equalizing tourism opportunities for the Philippines’ different destinations. Staying true to the Department’s commitment in ensuring that no destination gets left behind. She also expressed their deepest gratitude to the province for being active partners in tourism promotion.

Vice Governor Enrico Corvera warmly welcomed all the attendees of the dinner, inviting everyone to try the different products that were showcased that night. Agusan del Norte Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba, also shared a heartfelt message through video, inviting everyone to experience their province’s wonders.

Congressman Dale Corvera of the 2nd District of Agusan del Norte also expressed his gratitude to the DOT for giving their support in promoting tourism in the province.

Mayor Roscoe Plaza proudly accepted the award today at the 2024 Caraga Regional Excellence Awards for Peace and Order with the DILG MLGOO Karolous Joseph Fuertes.

The award is for the Municipality of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte for the outstanding achievement in attaining the highest performance rating of 85.59% in the 2023 Regional Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit and a whopping 100% to the high functional rating in the 2024 Regional Anti Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) performnace audit which significantly contributes the to security, safety and welfare to the communities through proactive crime prevention, conflict resolution and fostering partnership with the local stakeholders.

Tungod sa kasamtangang kahimtang sa panahon dala sa Tropical Depression KRISTINE nga posibleng makaapekto sa Agusan del Norte, gikinahanglan nga mag-amping ang tanang sakayan, bangka ug mga mananagat sa Nasipit batok sa bisan unsang kalit nga kabag-uhan sa panahon.

Dugang pa, gidasig nga likayan ang bisan unsang kalihokan sa dagat ug paglangoy sa mga baybayon karong panahona.

Ang tanang sakayan ug kagamitan pang-dagat kinahanglan nga ibutang sa mas taas nga dapit aron malikayan ang peligro sa baha.

Sa mga lugar nga delikado sa baha, gina-awhag ang tanan nga mobalhin sa mas taas nga lugar sama sa atong Evacuation center ug sa mga kasilinganan na taas ug panimalay.

Construction Update: Balaan Shrine Access Road and Amenities Development.
Brgy. Aclan, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte

Exciting progress is underway at the Balaan Shrine as the access road construction continues. The newly paved road is designed to provide smooth and safe access for pilgrims and devotees.

Alongside the road, several amenities are being planned to enhance the spiritual journey for visitors. These include rest stops,shaded walkways, and prayer stations strategically placed along the route to encourage reflection and meditation.

Additionally, restrooms, chapel, cottages and drinking water stations will be installed for convenience, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone.

This development was pushed by the Municipal Tourism Chairwoman Joy Plaza and aims to make the Balaan Shrine more accessible while preserving its serene and sacred atmosphere.

Stay tuned for more updates as we work to create a pilgrimage destination that serves the needs of the religious committee as being part of Mayor Roscoe Plaza 's devotion in making Nasipit a God Centered community.

Congratulations Municipality of Nasipit for being 1st Placer in Infrastructure Category for 3rd to 4th Class Municipalities at 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index Awarding at Robinson's Butuan Atrium today.

The award was personally received by our Honorable Mayor Roscoe Plaza and proudly presented Nasipit in its remarkable development on infrastructure projects.

Mayor Roscoe Plaza graced the Free Bakuna Skwela activity for the month of October (School Based Immunization Launching) today in Barangay Kinabjangan, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

This campaign is a joint activity with DepEd, LGU Nasipit and the RHU to promote awarenes and entice children get vaccinated and get immuned from HPV, Measles, Rubella, Tetanus and Depteria.

Mayor Roscoe Plaza and Team Dasig Nasipit officially filed for his second term, with strong support from Governor Angel Amante, Congressman Dale Corvera, Vice Governor Rico Corvera, former Butuan Mayor Madam Daisy Plaza, and Madam Maribel Mijares, wife of Cong. Edibong Plaza.

The entire Plaza family, including aspiring Agusan Sur Vice Governor Patricia Plaza, stood united in their backing.

The 19 barangays, their councils, and loyal supporters also came in full force to show their unwavering support for the mayor's re-election bid.
