Ground Operations-- Airport Informations:
Hi I'm Christle, your Passenger Service Agent (PAL). I just want to share my knowledge in my workplace to avoid confusions, intercepted items in security and to give insights to all the travellers. We are exposed in different areas in airport, departure and arrival. But I am mostly assigned in check in counter area.
First regarding HANDCARRY and CHECKED-IN baggage.
Handcarry- most airline allowed 7 kg for handcarry. But we accept up to 8 kg. If you have gadgets such as laptops, DSLR (any gadget na mabibigat) we will accept up to 10 kg. Make sure that there's no liquids aerosols and gels more than 100 ml. You can bring different liquid items not more than 100 ml with the total of 1000 ml or 1L and it should be on the ziplock. Note: if you have 250 ml bottle pero yung laman not more than 100 ml, we will not allow that. The 100 ml is based on the container mga tol. 🙂 Also, canned goods and not processed fruits (yung bunga talaga) not allowed also sa handcarry po.
*Every passenger are allowed 1 pc of handcarry and 1 pc carry-on (small bags, backpacks) up to 5 kg.*
Checked-in baggage- be observant po sa free baggage allowance ng flight nyo. Other flights using piece system, some uses weight system. Pag sinabing piece system, normally 2pc po yan. It means dalawang bag/box lang ang allowed. For economy passengers, 23kg each and for business class 32 kg each. Note: Even though the other luggage is less than 23 kg, the other bag should be up to 23 kg only. Common mistake po ng mga pasahero yan. Pwede po tayo mag pooled kung weight system po ang gagamitin ng flt, and if naka group po kayo sa ticket. Hindi separate ang mga ticket nyo po.
If may excess piece po kayo, rates should apply. For PAL automatic 150 USD po yun. Yung ibang flts such as GUM JPN 100 USD ang rate.
DOCUMENTS:
Countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Taipei, Middle East requires every passport to be valid atleast 6 months. Pag po valid yan but less than 6 months na lang, ma ooffload po kayo.
Note: All tourists in all destination should have return or onward tickets.
For First Time Immigrants, make sure na naka attend po kayo ng seminar for Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO), after po ng seminar tatatakan yung passport nyo ng CFO sticker. Ang CFO seminar ay hindi po ginagawa sa airport, visit www.cfo.gov.ph para po mag register at magpaschedule. Ang exempted lang po dyan ay pax 7 years old below and 60 years old and above. Pwede po kayo maoffload pag wala po kayong CFO sticker.
TRAVEL TAX
Kung di po kayo sure kung nabayaran nyo na o hindi, magcheck in po muna kayo. Iinform naman po namin kayo pag kailangan nyo pa pong magbayad. Note: all terminal fee is already included sa ticket so wala na po kayong babayaran na terminal fee dahil bayad na po.
Lahat ng permanent resident sa ibang bansa, no need to pay for the travel tax. Just secure a tax exemption certificate, na makukuha lang din sa travel tax ctr. Wala pong bayad yun. :)
CFO is a Philippine agency that is tasked to promote migrant welfare and interest. It registers and provides pre-departure orientation to emigrants.
